Six, the root of pain is selfish desire, whether it is seeking happiness, revenge, or just longing for longevity, it will lead to pain.
Seven, desire can lead to pain, the main reason is that desire can never be fully satisfied.
Eight, from the desire for love to produce sadness, from the desire for love to produce fear, pull out the desire for love, neither sadness nor fear.
Third, bondage
It is contemptible to stick to one thing (or an opinion) while dismissing other things. The wise call it "bondage".
10. Without greed and hatred, there is no bondage.
Greed is the fiercest fire, hatred is the worst persistence, confusion and wrong opinions are the most difficult nets to escape, and love is the most difficult river to cross.
One should abandon anger, pull out arrogance and transcend all bondage. People who don't cling to the mind and matter can get real peace of mind without external influence.
13. The wise man said: The shackles made of iron, wood and hemp rope are not strong ties, but the strongest ties are infatuation with jewelry, earrings and wives.
14. All desires are only a little sweet, but they hide quite a lot of distress.
15. People who indulge in lust are as frightened as rabbits trapped in cages, bound by bondage and persistence, and suffer for a long time.
16. People who are trapped by incorrect thoughts and have a strong desire for sensory enjoyment will double their desires and increase their bondage.
Fourth, insight
17. Don't judge things only by logic, inference or appearance.
Only when you know that something is really imperfect and wrong can you get rid of it. Only when you really know that something is perfect and correct can you accept it and practice it.
19. Treat the untrue things as truth, treat the real things as untrue, stay in the untrue thoughts, and never reach the realm of truth.
Smart people are not easily influenced by other people's ideas.
Don't be influenced by any reports, traditions or rumors.
22. Don't believe other people's hearsay, rumors and general books.
23. Don't trust your own guess, don't believe it just because your guess is consistent with yours, and don't trust authority casually.
24. It is inappropriate to judge things rashly. A clever man should observe right and wrong at the same time.

25. May all sentient beings be happy, safe and content!
Let the infinite love in our hearts spread all over the world-no matter that corner of the universe-without any obstacles, resentment or hostility.
27. May all sentient beings be happy inside. Whether we can see them or not, whether they are far away or near, born or unborn!
28. As long as a person is awake, whether walking, living, sitting or lying down, we should keep this kind of compassionate heart.
29. May I be generous and helpful. May my body and mind be clean, honest, simple and innocent, with good conduct and no evil thoughts. May I be selfless, possessive and selfless, even at the expense of my ego. I hope I am smart enough to tell others the benefits of real burial and knowledge.
30. I hope I can work hard and be diligent. May I be tolerant, tolerant and forgive others' mistakes, and may I keep my promise.
I hope I can be resolute, brave, persistent and persevering. I hope I can be kind, friendly and compassionate. May I be humble, peaceful, quiet, calm and serene. I hope I can move towards perfection and serve others happily.
32. May all creatures, animals and human beings be free from any resentment, disease and sadness, and may they all protect themselves happily.
The intransitive verb kindness
Let's treat all living things with infinite love, just as a loving mother risks her life to protect her only child. This is an eternal truth, hatred can never stop in this world, only with kindness.
35. Never cheat others and never despise people anywhere. In places full of anger and malice, let's be kind to them so that they won't be hurt in the slightest.
36. Use kindness to influence resentment, and use kindness to influence evil. Influence meanness with charity, influence lies with truth.
All animals are afraid of punishment, and all animals are afraid of death (all animals cherish life). Put yourself in others' shoes. One should not kill animals or instigate others to kill animals.
Seven, trouble
38. When a person feels dissatisfied and pursues it deliberately, he becomes a hungry slave.
39. Find fault with others, and people who get angry easily become more and more miserable. Leaving the carefree realm is getting farther and farther.
Smart people don't look forward to the future and don't regret the past.
4 1. Winners attract resentment, while losers live in pain. Quiet people give up victory and failure, so they are safe and happy.
42. Always think about the source of distress, be good at restraining your senses, eat moderately, be full of confidence and drive, and you will not be defeated by evil spirits, just as ōyama Iwao will not be shaken by the wind.

44. Through faith, virtue, hard work, meditation, observation and experience of truth, we can get rid of great troubles by understanding and practicing at the same time and often thinking correctly.
Eight. obstacle
45. Every crime does more harm to the offender than to the victim.
46. Don't despise small evils, thinking that I won't be punished. The water bottle is full of small drops of water. Stupid people keep doing small bad things. After a long time, the whole person is full of evil.
There are five obstacles to conscious perception: greed, hatred, sleep and drowsiness, anxiety and uneasiness, and doubt.
48. When the evil behavior is not yet mature (it has not yet produced results), stupid people regard the evil behavior as sweetness. But when his behavior is mature, he is sad.
49. People who have no faith, are unfaithful, love to lie and don't consider the afterlife will probably do all kinds of evil deeds.
50. Before the evil deed matures, the perpetrator always thinks that he has done it perfectly, but when the evil deed matures, the perpetrator will taste the bad consequences.
May Day, killing, stealing, lying, lewdness, smart people will never appreciate these four evils.

53. All sentient beings long for happiness. Those who kill all beings with a stick for their own happiness will have no peace in the future.
May 4th Movement, licentiousness is the dirt of women, and meanness is the dirt of charity. All bad words and deeds and thoughts have become the dirt of this life and future generations.
Love, hate and stupidity are the three evils of psychology. Killing, stealing and fornication are the three dirties of the body. Sowing divergence (sowing divergence). Swearing, lying and rhetoric are the four filth of language.
56. When a person does evil, there is dirt in his mind. When a person does not do evil, his heart is clean. Cleanliness and dirtiness are entirely in your own hands, and others can't help you.
Nine, sadness
57. People who cling to themselves will be insane. People who only consider themselves everywhere will bring sorrow to themselves.
58. People who have no greed for anything will have no pain. So I said that in this state, there is no sadness, no strong lust, and no disappointment.
59. If you love a hundred things, you will have a hundred kinds of troubles; If you love 90 things, 10 things, 5 things and 2 things, there will be 90 things, 10 things, 5 things and 2 troubles.
60. The world is constantly changing, not permanent.

62. Being born, sick, sad and disappointed, being with people you don't like, and being insatiable, these attributes of existence are all bitter!
63. Aging and death drive away the lives of all beings, just like a shepherd driving his cow to the pasture with a stick in his hand.
64. Variability is the characteristic of life.
65. Impermanence is a (subtle) pain.
Everything is not eternal, and will eventually deteriorate, change and disappear. Therefore, people with keen senses can perceive its imperfection.
Even if a person has happiness, it cannot last forever.

76. A wife should treat her husband in the following five ways: First, keep the housework in order. Second, help the husband's relatives. Third, be loyal to your husband. Fourth, manage and save the husband's salary wisely. Fifth, be diligent but not lazy.
77. There are four principles for serving the society: generosity; A thoughtful speech; Cooperate with each other; Behave well and be polite. These four principles are like the axle of a car, which can make the wheels turn.

When a person's words and actions have good motives, happiness will follow him like a shadow.
Bayi, all realms are guided by the heart. The mind is the master, and all realms are born of the mind. If a person's words and deeds have a dirty heart, then distress will immediately follow him, just as the wheel follows the cow's hoof.
82. How happy it is to be in contact with worldly things, without temptation, sadness, flaws and peace of mind!
83. A wise man often removes dirt from his heart, just as a craftsman removes impurities from a silver mine.
84. Prevent the anger of the mind, adjust the mentality, abandon evil thoughts, and sincerely fulfill the right path.

86. Do good in time, so as not to have evil thoughts again. Anyone who procrastinates is not easily insulated from evil things.
Life is doomed to death, so we should do more good deeds while living, just like making many garlands with a bunch of flowers.
Don't despise small favors, thinking that I won't be punished. Small drops of water keep falling, and finally they can fill the whole bottle. In this way, the wise man gradually accumulates small kindness and fills himself with blessings.
Be tolerant of impatient people, gentle to violent people, and generous to greedy people.
90. Don't do bad things, cultivate all good deeds and purify the soul. This is the Buddha's teaching.
Thirteen. implement
9 1. Just saying good things without putting them into practice is fruitless. Just like a beautiful flower, it has color but no fragrance.
92. Although you don't read many scriptures, you follow the teaching method, get rid of greed, anger and delusion, have correct wisdom, have no worries in your heart, and don't covet this life and the afterlife. You are a practitioner of enlightened mind.
Teach others to set an example first. Restrain yourself before you can restrain others. It's really hard to control yourself!
94. Don't swear, don't hurt all sentient beings, listen to the Buddha's advice, practice precepts, eat moderately, live in a quiet place, and concentrate on noble consciousness. This is the Buddha's teaching.
95. It is no good for a stupid person to gain knowledge and reputation, which not only damages his happiness, but also makes him willful. 96. Reading a thousand useless words is better than listening to only one useful word, which brings peace to people.
1997, bright and beautiful flowers without fragrance can't bring much happiness to the people you wear; It's not good to listen to good words and not practice them.
Fourteen, save it.
98. We shouldn't find fault with others and criticize what others did and didn't do. We should always reflect on our mistakes and consider what we have done and what we have not done.
Smart people review their words and deeds every day.
100. Conquering a million heroes on the battlefield is far worse than conquering yourself. He who conquers himself is the greatest conqueror.
10 1. It is indeed more noble to defeat yourself than to defeat others!
102. Other people's faults are easy to find, but their own faults are hard to detect. Spreading other people's shortcomings is as easy as throwing away rice husk. But hiding your shortcomings is as cunning as a gambler hiding dice.

104. If a person repents and starts to do good, just like the bright moon is not covered by dark clouds, it can light up the earth.

One, two, four, people who don't indulge in relaxation, don't crave sensual enjoyment, have enthusiasm and often meditate on the truth can get great happiness.
One, two, five, life can be happy without any hatred among people full of resentment.
126. There are two extremes that practitioners should not do. What are these two extremes? Sensory pleasure is low-level, vulgar, tacky and obscene, which leads to physical and mental damage; Self-abuse is painful and despicable, and it will also bring harm to body and mind. The "middle way" discovered by the perfect saint avoids the above two extremes, but brings you keen insight and knowledge, leading you to peace, wisdom, consciousness and eternal happiness.
127. Happy are those who maintain good moral character in their later years, and happy are those who have firm confidence. Happy are those who get wisdom, and happy are those who don't do evil.

128. Happiness lies in the realization of wishes, and only noble wishes exist.

140. Let your old age be as innocent and romantic as your childhood, and let your childhood be as stable as your old age. This means: don't confuse arrogance with your wisdom, and don't let your humility lack wisdom.

142. If a person has lived for a hundred years without real wisdom and self-discipline, it is better to live for only one day, with wisdom and quiet kung fu.

If someone speaks ill of you, you don't need to be malicious, resentful, contemptuous or dissatisfied with them.
If you hold a grudge, it will not only hinder your mental development, but also make you unable to judge whether that statement is right or wrong.
145. At the same time, if others give me a high hat and praise my teaching methods and monks too much, don't be too proud, because it will also damage your inner (mental) development. You have to accept the facts and show them the actual situation.
146. Lotus peanuts still exude a pleasant fragrance in the waste and sludge, just like Buddha disciples were born in a crowd with strong love, but they can radiate wisdom.
147. Not from today, as early as ancient times, some people said that silent people were vilified; People who talk a lot will be vilified; People who talk too little are also vilified; There is no one in the world who is not slandered.
