King, word, number. In the forty-third year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1564), he was selected as a scholar in the second year. He was appointed as the magistrate of Lixian County at first, and then as the Taoist supervisor of Jiangxi Province in Beijing. Because of his earnest work, he offended the records of Xu Jie and was transferred from Beijing to become a Fengtian magistrate. After witnessing corruption in the ruling and opposition parties, he resigned because of the crisis. An exquisite house named "Lecture Room" was built in my hometown. Later, due to the sudden growth of several ganoderma lucidum strains in the garden, it was renamed as "Ruzhi Garden". He studies, paints, rests and makes friends here every day, and often stays under the pine tree with two or three close friends. Yang Chengfu, the magistrate of tengxian, asked Wang Yuan and his master to write "Records of tengxian" during his seclusion. The annals of tengxian edited by him is the earliest edition of annals of tengxian. In his later years, he wrote poems such as Ruzi Garden Collection and Book of Songs. Records of the Unification of the Qing Dynasty, Records of Shandong Province and Records of tengxian are all circulated.
