Why do Burmese only produce jadeite, but don't like to wear and process jadeite?
As we all know, the jadeite on the market basically comes from Myanmar. As the king of jade, jadeite is very popular among Chinese people, and jadeite with better hydroponics is warmly sought after. Myanmar, which can be used as the origin of jadeite, has few people who like jadeite. What is the reason?

Burmese people don't like jade for several reasons:

1, Myanmar is in turmoil.

There is an old saying in our ancestors that "gold comes out in troubled times", which means that in troubled times, gold is more popular because gold is hard currency equivalent to money. Troubled times can be directly changed into necessities and things you want, and things like jade and antiques are difficult to sell in this case.

In recent years, there have been frequent wars and political instability in Myanmar. Locals prefer hard currency such as gold to ensure their survival in the war. Emerald that cannot be directly realized is naturally not liked by them.

2. Myanmar has a lot of jadeite.

As the saying goes, things are rare. In China, jadeite is selected, purchased and processed by merchants at the place of origin before it finally appears in front of us. In particular, jadeite with good water quality is rare and naturally very precious. Myanmar itself is the origin of jadeite, and the quantity of jadeite is far greater than that of China. Many temples in Myanmar even use jadeite to build walls and floor directly. In the eyes of China people, this is simply an act of wasting the world.

Jadeite used for building walls and paving floors.

3. Myanmar lacks jade culture.

China has a jade culture atmosphere since ancient times. Jade is not only a valuable item in the hearts of China people, but also represents a kind of conduct and inheritance. We regard jade as beautiful, even as a family heirloom, carefully preserved and passed on to the next generation to continue wearing it. But there is no jade culture atmosphere in Myanmar. Naturally, jade will not be regarded as a symbol of conduct and good things, so it is impossible to talk about how to love jade.

4. Myanmar jadeite processing technology is backward.

Jade merchants in China buy jadeites from Myanmar, which are basically original stones, and finally present exquisite jadeite ornaments through domestic processing and carving techniques. However, Myanmar's processing technology is very backward, and torus is the limit they can process. It's hard for them to be those exquisite pendant carvers. What Burmese people see most is the original jade stone, which has almost no aesthetic feeling. It is definitely impossible to like jade.

5. Myanmar's economic conditions are backward.

As we all know, Myanmar's economic level is relatively backward. In backward countries, solving food and clothing is the most important demand, and everything else is secondary. Therefore, things like jade, which are mainly decorative and have health care functions, are not very attractive to Burmese people.

Before China's reform and opening up, people's ability to buy and collect jewelry was also very weak. It was not until the living standard was getting better and better and people's economic conditions came up that they began to look at jade with both decorative and collection functions.

Common jadeite products are dyed, and only in this way can we buy high prices. Colorless jadeite products are rare and difficult to identify. The naked eye identification of jadeite products is mainly from three angles: surface, structure and color. As for measuring hardness, density, refractive index, etc. It is impossible to do it with the naked eye alone.

(1) Look at the surface

As a result of strong acid treatment, the surface of jadeite processed products will appear potholes similar to "orange peel", which can be observed with a ten-fold magnifying glass, which is the most easily observed feature of jadeite processed products. There are also some jadeites with poor texture, or the unearthed old jadeites will have similar effects on the surface due to natural corrosion.

(2) Look at the structure

Natural jadeite has a "flying wing" structure, but don't think that natural jadeite has a "flying wing" structure, and jadeite processed products will also have this feature. The structure of jadeite processed products is loose and not dense enough, and most of them are waxy luster after filling with glue. Dyed jadeite often presents a "network structure" of color roots, and some spots have pigment precipitation.

At an auction of jadeite raw materials, I saw a colorless jadeite with ice seeds. The hydroponics was excellent, but the texture was loose, and my mind was always confused. Later, a friend told me that the raw materials were pickled, and the raw materials of this kind of jadeite processed product, which was not filled with color, were extremely chaotic.

(3) Look at the color

Most jadeite products are colored. After pickling, wash off impurities, color, and then pour glue. Most jadeite products can be identified by color. The color roots of jadeite products generally float on the surface, and the edges of the color roots are blurred, mainly in blocks and blocks, and will not go deep into the jadeite. The color root of natural jadeite is very clear and powerful, and the direction of the color root can be clearly seen.

The above three methods are the main methods to identify jadeite processed products, which need to be combined for comprehensive judgment. For example, looking at the relationship between water and color, some jadeites are extremely poor in texture, but excellent in color. This is the obvious "water color does not match", which can basically be judged as jadeite processed products.
