First, relatives and friends: people who directly benefit themselves;
Second, enemies: people who directly hurt themselves;
Third, the doctrine of the mean: people who have no enmity with themselves;
Fourth, there is virtue: people who have virtues such as precepts;
Fifth, there have been: people who violated commandments and other faults;
6. Not as good as yourself: people who are not as good as themselves in merits and happiness;
7. Self-equality: people who are equal to themselves in all aspects;
Eight, better than yourself: people who are better than themselves in all aspects;
Nine, Fule: a rich and happy person with merit;
Poverty: a poor person in virtue, wealth, etc.
According to these ten kinds of Fujita, we should treat them differently. For relatives and friends, we must cover up greed; Treat the enemy with compassion; Treat the golden mean with love; Treat those virtuous people with confidence and respect; Treat people who have done it with compassion; For people who are inferior, we must break arrogance; For equal people, we must break the heart of comparison; For super winners, we must break our jealousy; For the rich and the poor, we should know that they were born by carelessness, and they were troubled by greed, so we should give them alms.
In fact, the "Ten" represents perfection, that is, whether it is good, harmful, moderate, virtuous, inferior, equal, superior, rich or poor, we must treat them equally. If you complain to your relatives, be good at being stupid, and give to the rich and the poor, the ten saints are the right places for bodhisattva to give.
Mahayana almsgiving belongs to bodhicitta, whose virtue is "altruism to bodhicitta", and its altruistic environment is all sentient beings. Only by giving equally to all sentient beings can we correspond to bodhicitta, otherwise we will lose bodhicitta. Therefore, the one-sided giving is also a magical industry.
Greed is like borrowing money.
The Buddha swam to Sla Wasti, where he lived in the secluded garden of Saint Lin Gai. One day, the Buddha asked the monks, "There was a poor man who was greedy, and his heart was greedy for material things. Will it cause great distress? " 」
The monks said in unison, "Yes! Buddha! 」
The Buddha asked again, "If the poor can't stand the temptation of material desires and borrow money from others to satisfy their desires, will it cause him distress?" 」
"yes." The monks answered.
"The poor can't afford the loan, and the loan breeds interest. Will it cause distress? 」
"yes. 」
"Because the poor can't repay the loan and interest, will creditors be very upset to collect debts? 」
"yes. 」
"Because the poor don't pay their debts, creditors come to you every day. Is it very distressing? 」
"yes. 」
"Because the poor can't pay their debts, they are arrested by creditors. Will it cause great distress? 」
"yes. 」
The Buddha went on to say, "Being poor and greedy is a great pain in the world law, and borrowing money from others is also a great pain. Similarly, in the sage law, people don't believe that good is rewarded with good, refuse to be banned, refuse to learn charity and wisdom, and have no knowledge. Even if they have a lot of gold, silver and jewels, they are just a rich poor man without real and intangible wealth, and they are a real poor man.
If a person, mouth and heart do evil, it is the wealth borrowed from others in the sage law. Refuse to repent after doing evil, which is the interest generated by borrowing. When the public saw this wicked man with unclear body and mouth, they criticized him as a thorn in the side of the public. Hearing this, the wicked not only refused to repent, but covered up their refutation, just like the debt is the main debt. For another example, a wicked man is under a tree, or in an idle place. What he thinks in his heart is nothing more than greed, greed and stupidity, just like a creditor coming to collect debts every day. Because of the evil of body, mouth and heart, it is like being caught by a creditor. The biggest bondage in the world is the bondage of hell, hungry ghosts and animals. A wise man should know the root of getting rid of the bondage of troubles. 」
After listening to the Buddha's instructions, monks must take good care of their body and mind, practice hard, and avoid being bound by three hardships.
Our heart is a Lingshan full of treasures, which contains incomparable rich resources. However, all living beings are stupid and don't know how to exploit their own treasures. But to give up everything and look for treasure. Some people's innocence in life is often destroyed by ignorance, but they cast lifelong regrets. Whether we become saints or not depends on how we hold mindfulness and always correspond to the right path, rather than forgetting our roots with the fate.
