Types of silver ornaments

Silver ornaments are divided into foot silver, pure silver, silver plating and silver plating according to the silver content from high to low. Foot silver: foot silver with a silver content of not less than 99%. The national standards are Zuyin 990 and Zuyin 999. Features: Ginta's foot is soft, so it can't be cast into the desired jewelry shape, and it is easy to wear and oxidize and blacken. So it is not suitable for jewelry.

Pure silver: the silver content is not less than 92.5%, which is called pure silver. It is also an internationally recognized standard for pure silver (pure silver in our life usually refers to silver with a purity close to 100%, that is, silver with finished silver content exceeding 92.5%, including: pure silver 925, foot silver 990 and foot silver 999).

Features: Pure silver has better hardness, brightness, luster and oxidation resistance due to the addition of 7.5% alloy, and can be inlaid with various gems, diamonds, jade articles, agates and so on.

Types of silver ornaments

Silver plating: silver is directly sliced and wrapped on other metals or materials to form silver-plated handicrafts. Features: the thickness is thicker than that of silver plating, and it is not easy to fade and wear, so the cost is higher and the price is more expensive than that of silver-plated jewelry. Silver plating: silver is melted into liquid and sprayed on other metal surfaces, which is characterized by being extremely thin. Features: low cost, and the jewelry made is easy to fade, such as sweat, acid and alkali. It can make the surface of jewelry silver-plated and oxidized, and wear quickly.
