How to distinguish rayon from viscose fabric
There is no essential difference between the two. Rayon is an ordinary viscose fiber.

1, rayon has good hygroscopicity, comfortable wearing and excellent spinnability. Often blended with cotton, wool or various synthetic fibers, it is used in various garments and decorative textiles. High strength viscose fiber can also be used in tire cord, conveyor belt and other industrial products. Viscose fiber is a widely used chemical fiber.

2. Viscose fiber has good hygroscopicity, and the moisture regain is about 13% under general atmospheric conditions. After moisture absorption, the fabric expands obviously, and the diameter can be increased by 50%, so the fabric feels hard when it meets water, and the shrinkage rate is large.

The breaking strength of ordinary viscose fiber is smaller than that of cotton, which is about 1.6 ~ 2.7 CN/dtex. The elongation at break is higher than that of cotton 16% ~ 22%. The wet strength decreased a lot, about 50% of the dry strength, and the wet elongation increased about 50%.

Its modulus is lower than that of cotton, and it is easy to deform under small load, but its elastic recovery performance is poor, so the fabric is easy to stretch and its dimensional stability is poor. The strength, especially wet strength, of rich fiber is higher than that of ordinary viscose, and the elongation at break is smaller and the dimensional stability is better. The wear resistance of ordinary viscose is poor, while the fiber-rich viscose is improved.

Extended data:

Viscose fiber can be divided into ordinary viscose fiber, high wet modulus viscose fiber, strong viscose fiber and modified viscose fiber.

Among the strong viscose fibers, filaments with dry strength exceeding 30.0cN/tex are called strong filaments; Super filament exceeding 38.0cN/tex; Weighing-two super filaments over 44. 1cN/tex; Three kinds of super-strong filaments exceeding 48.5cN/tex; Above 53.0cN/tex, it is called quadruple super filament.

Among high-performance viscose fibers, the fiber with high elastic modulus in wet state is called Porino Sike fiber, also called high wet modulus fiber, and it is called Fu Qiang fiber in China, which is called Fu Qiang fiber for short. The wet modulus is between ordinary fiber and Polynosik fiber, but the fiber with higher cross-linking strength and less brittleness is called modified high wet modulus fiber.
