3. Dongling jade: There are many producing areas, and Dongling jade is also produced in Xinjiang. It belongs to quartzite, with granular structure, strong luster and slightly light specific gravity. Dongling jade is also often used as jade ornaments. The market price of Dongling jade bracelet is about 100- 150 yuan, and the small pendant is about 30-50 yuan. There are many Guanyin and Buddhas of Dongling Jade in the famous Story of the Stone. Several other jades similar to white jade are rarely used as ornaments, because their value is too low, and they are only used for large-scale carving.
The second is calcite jade, which looks like white jade. For example, the so-called "afghanistan white jade" in the market is a kind of marble, but it is white and translucent, and is often carved into cabbage, symbolizing "Hundred Treasures". The hardness of this kind of jade is very low, so it can be carved with an ordinary knife, and it is not difficult to identify it.

There is also a serpentine jade, namely xiuyan jade, which is produced in Xiuyan County, Liaoning Province. Xiuyan jade has large output, low hardness, easy fracture and low price. Generally, the transparency is relatively high, mainly green, which is mainly used to pretend to be Hetian sapphire and sapphire, and topaz is also very common, mainly pretending to be topaz. Now a large number of serpentine jade have been found in Xinjiang. Because Xiuyu's hardness is less than 5, glass can't be scratched.
In particular, some flea markets often pretend to be white jade or ancient jade with emulsified glass, and circular bubbles with uncertain size can often be seen in glass products. As long as you see bubbles, you can be sure it is not white jade. But some glass products are also bubble-free, so those without bubbles are not necessarily real goods. If you want to buy real goods with confidence, you still need to find the testing department of jewelry and jade for testing, because some white jade looks like white jade, and it is difficult to make an accurate judgment without strict testing.
Hetian jade has high hardness and toughness. Hetian jade can scratch the glass without damage. For other jade, only quartzite jade can scratch the glass without damaging it. Terrazzo is often used to pretend to be the best suet jade of Hetian jade. Sheep fat jade is white with sheep fat, and the water stone is pale. Sheep fat jade is oily luster, water stone is dry, and the luster is not good.
There are three aspects to distinguish Hetian jade from its appearance. Hetian jade can see tiny jade flowers with tiny cloud-like and cloud-like structures with naked eyes, which is the unique structural feature of Hetian jade. The luster of Hetian jade is very moist, not that kind of strong glass luster, that is to say, the surface reflection of Hetian jade is not very strong. This is because there are very small bumps on the surface of Hetian jade, similar to ground glass. You can see it with a magnifying glass of 10-20 times, and sometimes you can see the lines left by hand polishing in a certain direction. Pay attention to the intaglio lines. Because Hetian jade has strong toughness, it is not easy to crack when carving, and it is not easy to crack on both sides of the concave carving pattern. Quartzite jade has high hardness, but poor toughness and strong brittleness, and the intaglio pattern is easy to crack. It is for this reason that many quartzite jadeites are pressed out by molds, and there are no traces of hand carving.
