How to distinguish the authenticity of black glazed porcelain in Song Dynasty
There are many kinds of collections, including porcelain, wood, jewelry and jade, celebrity calligraphy and painting, rare books and so on. It can be said that as long as there is one in the market, there are people who collect it.

Personally, I especially like the black glazed porcelain in the mouth of Shanxi kiln, commonly known as the old kiln porcelain, which is a kind of porcelain.

Black glazed porcelain looks simple, but it is not easy to make a name for itself. It is not only fired in various periods, but also has various types of utensils and various glaze techniques. From the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the Five Dynasties, the Ten Kingdoms, the Song Dynasty, the Liao Dynasty, the Jin Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty, and the Republic of China to the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, there were 62 kiln mouths recorded in writing in Shanxi alone, among which Bayi Kiln, Jiexiu Changzhi Huozhou Kiln, Datong Huairen Kiln and Hunyuan Kiln were all famous.

Shanxi black glaze porcelain is mostly civilian products, commonly known as old kiln porcelain. One meaning is ancient porcelain, which is different from porcelain after Ming and Qing Dynasties. The second layer means the porcelain used by ordinary people. The styles are roughly divided into northern and southern Taiyuan, and there are many obvious differences.

First, the fetal quality of the kiln mouth in the south of Shanxi Province, the fetal quality is thin, the shape is beautiful and elegant, and it has the inheritance of Chinese culture in the Central Plains. From the north of Taiyuan to Datong and Yanggao, the fetal quality is thick, the appearance is rough and crazy, and there is a nomadic culture atmosphere.

Second, the southern glaze is pure and thin, which is related to the delicate fetal quality. On the contrary, most of the glazes in the north are glazed. The southern part of the glaze kiln is flaky, and sometimes local or whole kiln changes due to different kiln sites and kiln temperatures, which is of course related to the tire quality and the iron and copper content of the glaze.

Third, painting, carving, drawing and printing decorative patterns. Most decorative patterns in southern Shanxi are realistic and delicate, while most decorative patterns in the north are freehand and unrestrained, and a bird can be made with one stroke, which is simple and beautiful.
