Talbert Castle is located in the west of St Julian's village. The name of the manor is attributed to the British general Talbot, who was the ruler of Siena province in the middle of15th century. Later, in 1453, he died in the decisive battle in Geoffrey Castillion, which also ended the British rule in aquitaine. Although historical data can't completely determine whether General Talbot was really the owner of Dabaozhuang at that time, there is a legend that just before General Talbot went to Geoffrey Castillion, he buried a lot of gold, silver and jewels in one of the many underground secret passages in Dabaozhuang. Later, Cordier, the owner of Talbot Manor, conducted a wide-ranging search and excavation of Dabaozhuang according to rumors, but still found nothing. Nevertheless, this story adds a bit of mystery to Dabaozhuang. Many people go back and forth on impulse because of this legend, but I am afraid that this story will continue to spread.

At this time, Dabaozhuang fell into the hands of Marquis d'Aux de Lescaut, who came from Armagnac and was recognized as a very dedicated and successful winemaker. After that, Dabaozhuang changed hands twice and was finally acquired by the famous Cordier family on 19 18.

Many wineries of Cordier family have always had very good quality and reputation in Bordeaux, and they have been handed down from generation to generation. Since taking over Dabaozhuang, they have continued this fine tradition. From Desire, the original founder of the manor, to his son Georges, to Jean, the son of Georges, and to Nancy Bignon, the daughter of Jean, each of them dedicated their energy and wisdom to this vineyard. This is a family tree with a long history and extremely touching family spirit. Among the numerous wineries run by the Cordier family, including Gruaud-Larose, Meyney and Plagnac in Midland, Clos des Jacobins in Saint Amy's District and Lafaurie-Peyraguey in Sotne, Dabaozhuang is the only winery owned by the family. Jean Cordier died in1September 1993. Now the winery is owned by his daughters Nancy Bignon and Lorraine Rustmann, but the daily management is done by Thierry Rustmann, the husband of Nancy and Lorraine. Among all the wineries owned by the Cordier family, the most special thing about Dabaozhuang is that it is extremely environmentally friendly and extremely clean, which makes people feel very comfortable whether it is wine, wine cellar or other buildings. It has become the working motto of Dabazhuang to be selective in every link of brewing, and now this requirement is becoming more and more strict.
