Liusha village is located in the coastal sandy plain, and the settlement is square. It is a natural deep-water shelter in the southern part of Leizhou Peninsula and a national key port-quicksand port.

Zhu Zhen No.1 village
In Liusha village, artificial breeding of pearl shells began more than 40 years ago, and almost every household joined the industry later. At the peak of 1980s, the annual output of pearls was more than 30 tons and exported to more than 50 countries and regions. Nowadays, pearl oyster culture technology has been popularized in Beibu Gulf. Liusha Village, known as the first pearl village in China, turned to develop pearl processing industry.
90% of China Nanzhu is exported after concentrated processing in quicksand, and a complete pearl production line has been formed in Liusha Village. It covers almost all aspects related to pearls, such as pearl oyster breeding, pearl oyster seedling incubation, jewelry processing and pearl oyster processing. From the hatching of a pearl oyster seedling as big as a grain of rice to the processing of taking pearls, the whole process is proceeding in an orderly way.
