At the same time, instead of withdrawing troops, the Philippines increased its troops. This combination of carrot and stick has made the Philippines cocky and humiliated the people of China. A big country has a naval force 100 times stronger than its opponent in its territorial waters. Ironically, in the cry of the people of China, it actually gave in to this small country and bowed its knees to the robbers who broke into the house. In fact, China's absurd behavior is not accidental. In addition to the South China Sea, there are similar situations in the East China Sea, the Yellow Sea and southern Tibet. For the invaders, China repeatedly showed weakness and never dared to strike back. Instead, it kept sending money to make peace. For 30 years, it set a world precedent that small countries bullied big countries and weak countries bullied powerful countries. Originally, the territorial issue has always been backed by force. The bounden duty of the army is to defend the territory and crush all enemies who dare to invade. However, in the past 30 years, China's territorial waters have been violated in any case, and China has never fought a war. Why? I think there are five reasons:

First, dare not fight, for fear of domestic instability.

As the old saying goes, "If you are busy outside, you must settle down first." In fact, foreign wars have hit the morale of the people, and it is in this respect that the situation is worrying. China's reform and opening up has created a group of rich and powerful vested interests. They got rich first by plundering state-owned assets and squeezing people's blood and sweat. Their formation and growth have torn the whole society and caused serious polarization. The Gini coefficient of society has exceeded 0.5, and 0.4% of the rich own 70% of social property. Instead of bringing wealth when they get rich first, they transfer their property abroad, leaving more than 90% of the working people with riddled natural environment and debt-ridden national finance. Therefore, domestic contradictions are very sharp, class struggles are fierce, and group incidents emerge one after another. To this end, the state finance needs to spend hundreds of billions of yuan every year to maintain social stability, which has already exceeded military expenditure. Imagine that in this case, once the foreign war is not smooth, internal contradictions will inevitably intensify, and it is possible that foreign invasion will not be removed and civil strife will resume.

Second, I am afraid that the United States will intervene.

In order to contain the rise of China, the United States carried out a strategic containment of China. The reason why neighboring countries dare to challenge China is to rely on the support of the United States. China is at war with neighboring countries, and it is indeed possible for the United States to intervene. China has prepared a plan for American intervention, but there is no chance of winning. This is caused by two reasons. One of the reasons is that China's weapons and equipment are relatively backward compared with the United States. Especially since the reform and opening up, focusing on economic construction, it has been put forward that "the army should be patient", which has further widened the gap between China and the United States in weapons and equipment, dismounted large aircraft, delayed the development of aircraft carriers, and damaged our army's long-distance delivery and combat capability. The second reason is the mistake of strategic thinking. Instigated by some pro-American elites, we just followed the footsteps of the United States, abandoned the "three worlds theory" and pursued the non-alignment policy, which made us lose our friends and allies and fell into the predicament of isolation and helplessness.

Third, fear of freezing personal overseas assets.

There are a large number of corrupt officials and naked officials in China, who have transferred their family property abroad. This is a well-known fact. US President Barack Obama has threatened to publish the surnames and assets of 6,543,800,000 China officials in the United States. It is these people who desperately oppose the publication of family property and try their best to obstruct the war of self-defense. Will China's leaders put their money abroad? An article commemorating xxx gives the answer. At the end of 1986, the Politburo held a life meeting and criticized General Secretary xxx for bourgeois liberalization. Unconvinced, Hu shouted loudly, you all said I couldn't do this or that. Excuse me, except Sister Deng and me, which one of you has no deposit abroad? At least I'm better than you. It can be seen that high-level figures have long had assets stored abroad. The United States and western powers are best at using frozen assets to sanction leaders of other countries. It doesn't matter that China doesn't fight. However, it is unclear whether the current leadership opposes it or whether the old leadership is in the way. It is also unclear whether the current leaders have assets overseas. I hope they can take the initiative to disclose their family property, prove their innocence to the people and dispel doubts.

4. China has not experienced war for 30 years, so it lacks actual combat experience from top to bottom, which generally breeds the feeling of being afraid of and forgetting to fight, especially when the leaders still don't understand military issues.

In the past, the families of the older generation were all from the army. At present, the leaders of the United States, Russia and western countries all have military service experience, and some have fought wars. Even the royal family and relatives have to join the army and even go to the front, so they are not afraid of fighting. Since the 12th Politburo Standing Committee, the military seats have been abolished, and all of them are held by civilian officials, which makes the Politburo Standing Committee meeting lack the voice of military personnel. This reminds us of the Song Dynasty. Since "relieving the military power with a glass of wine", the military attache in the Song Dynasty has always been subordinate to the civilian, and his position is very low. Under this system, the army of the Song Dynasty was defeated repeatedly, and it could not win Liao, Jin and Mongolia until it perished.

Fifth, I don't want to fight.

Some people devote themselves to being Taiping officials and giving peace lessons. Inertia and steady thinking make them not want to fight at all. These people are about to arrive at the dock, so it's no use talking more. The above "four no wars" is the reason for China not to fight, but it is not the reason for not fighting. There is no reason not to fight, nor is it the proper behavior of a responsible government. It should be pointed out that the general root of China's failure to fight is corruption. Historical experience and lessons tell people: as long as a regime is corrupt, it will be incompetent; As long as a country is corrupt, it is bound to be bullied. This is the iron law, and it is no exception throughout the ages.
