Yi Shu often does not insist on the superficial storytelling effect in narrative strategy; Some innovations and changes in the narrative style of his novels are sometimes quite surprising. (Comment by Zhao Xifang)

Yi Shu initiated a new stage of romance novels. His novels closely combine romance with social criticism, and put love and marriage in a strange world and complex interpersonal relationships. But the story is too light and attractive, and at the same time it seems to lack a sense of seriousness, and simplicity is more than aftertaste. (Comment by Yuan)
