An emissary who puts a wedding dress on jewels.
From Paloma Sanchez's works, it is not difficult to find her love and reverence for gems. She believes that gems are endowed with beautiful colors and magical characteristics by nature after a long baptism, or high temperature or high pressure. Therefore, her design also tries not to destroy the original shape of the gem, but only uses exquisite precious metals as a foil, making it a unique work of art and highlighting its magnificent brilliance. All this is like a fairy tale, which helped Cinderella turn into a pumpkin carriage and crystal shoes and put on gorgeous wedding dresses for those rare treasures carved by nature.
Yes, Paloma Sanchez is the messenger. In order to make more sleeping gems shine, she traveled all over the world looking for unique gems. She has left her presence in Montana and mining areas in Arizona, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Morocco, China and Madagascar, and traveled half the world in search of unique sleeping gems.
Messenger's Gem Awakening Journey
Paloma has lived in Beijing since 2006 and has opened a Paloma Sanchez jewelry store in the garden there. A simple hut, but full of all Paloma's love. Aquamarine, seasonal, crystal, malachite ... these big gems are embedded in necklaces and rings, which are quite expensive, like a beautiful bride who is about to get married, emitting a happy atmosphere.
It can be said that every work and gem here is hard to come by. It's even hard for you to imagine that a woman took risks and went to mines in Africa, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Morocco and other places to collect it alone. She loves these gems and is willing to take risks and challenges for them. Such persistence, even like her mother likes her children.
Today, Paloma has gained a certain popularity, and there are not so many obstacles for her to get in touch with mines, but she still likes to explore new places, and is committed to finding moving gems from all over the world and giving them unique and exquisite designs, and wearing beautiful wedding dresses for each gem.
Danile, Media Department of Jinbao Yin Bao: What kind of opportunity made you study law and embark on the road of jewelry design?
PALOMA SANCHEZ: I clearly know that I want to be a jewelry collector, gemologist and gemologist. After graduating from high school, I went to a diamond mine in the central forest of Venezuela. This incident left a deep impression on me. When I returned to Spain, my father and I asked me to study at Gia Gemological Institute in Los Angeles. My father agreed to my request and made a request: first of all, I must get a "normal" professional degree before I can go. So I studied law. My grandfather, father and brother are all lawyers. Five years later, I got a lawyer's degree certificate, and then got my father's support as I wished, and began to study and live in GIA. I am a very stubborn person!
Daniel, Media Department of Jinbao Yin Bao: People often say that the more you like, the more picky you are. So what are your criteria for choosing gems?
PALOMA SANCHEZ: I like all kinds of gems and minerals, especially some unusual, extremely rare and artists' collections. I choose purer gems with good natural shapes, rare natural gems. To me, a unique gem is more valuable than a flawless gem.
