Also known as Zheng Zeshi.
English name: Zheng Zeshi.
Zheng Zeshi, a Hong Kong TVB, ATV and Hong Kong film actor, was the best actor in the 5th and 16th Hong Kong Film Awards (why me? ) and Best Actor in the Second Hong Kong Film Golden Bauhinia Awards (Three Injured Policemen? ).
Zheng Zeshi grew up in a log cabin on the roof, and his family was poor. In order to reduce the family burden, as the eldest son, he went to a jewelry store as an apprentice before graduating from middle school. 1972 I signed up for the first actor training class of Dragon Palace Film Company, but I played more walk-on roles. It was not until 1976 joined wireless TV that it emerged. His first work was 1979 wireless TV series "Four Eyes Detective". The following year, he participated in the film Grey Ghost, which became the starting point for Zheng Zeshi to re-enter the film industry.
Since his debut, he has been the first choice actor in comedies because of his chubby figure, simple appearance and funny face. The turning point of Zheng Zeshi's acting career began with a movie "Why Me". In the film, he plays a fat cat with a tragic fate. This is his 40th film, and it is also the first time that he has not acted in comedy. His performance was in place, and he won the title of Best Actor in the 5th Hong Kong Film Awards. Since then, his career has been smooth sailing and he has become a popular character actor. He is not only an actor, but also directed a film. His works include Jumping Antelope, Rich Soldier, Fat Cat Wandering and so on. As far as actors are concerned, Zheng Zeshi's plays are more and more diversified, and he is no longer limited to comedies. It seems that in the 1990s, I mainly participated in the performances of police and bandits films: for example, I performed a police and bandits sand exhibition in Zhongnanhai, starring Jet Li; In "Four Detectives", he plays a police inspector; In Jackie Chan's Major Crimes, he played a corrupt agent. Finally, he won the 1996 Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Actor with Three Injured Policemen.
Zheng Zeshi returned to wireless on 1993 by participating in the TV series "Brother Long and Brother Mouse", but generally speaking, he didn't play many plays in wireless. Because he was not reused, he decided to switch to ATV at 1997. At ATV, he first appeared in the "Fat Cat" series, and then began to play some historical figures, such as Sun Tzu and Su Dongpo. This attracted many audiences to enjoy their performances.
In recent years, he mainly filmed in Chinese mainland, and it was not until 2006 that he chose to return to wireless.
