China Geo University Museum is located at the foot of Wang Nan Mountain, on the beautiful East Lake in Wuhan. It is an important part of East Lake Scenic Area, located in Wuhan University District and East Lake High-tech Development Zone, which are rich in humanities and intellectual resources, and adjacent to the famous Wuhan. China Optics Valley has excellent transportation, education, tourism and leisure environment. The museum has more than 30,000 geological specimens, including nearly 3,000 rare treasures of nature. The richness, typicality and appreciation of specimens are at the first-class level in China and at the forefront in the world. For example, the world's first footprint fossil curtain wall with an area of 100 square meter, the sea lily fossil with an area of 15 square meter more than 200 million years ago, the ichthyosaur fossil and the sea dragon fossil more than 200 million years ago, and the beautifully shaped stibnite crystal cluster are all treasures of the town hall. The museum has opened exhibition halls such as the mystery of the earth, the origin and evolution of life, jewelry and jade, mineral rocks, mineral resources, and special exhibitions of paleontology fossils donated by Mr. Zhang He, which comprehensively expounded the essence of earth science.
The exhibition hall of the mystery of the earth reflects the vicissitudes of the earth in 4.6 billion years from the unique planets, the material composition of the earth, the biosphere and the unstable land. Among them, there is the world's first magnetic levitation globe and artificial seismic station with a diameter of 1.5 meters, which obliquely rotates around the ecliptic plane with an included angle of 23.5 degrees. Through various advanced display technologies, people can truly feel the wonder of the earth and the myriad weather of nature. Starting from the origin of life, the exhibition hall of the origin and evolution of life takes the biological evolution in geological history as the main line, showing the life evolution course of the earth for 3.8 billion years and highlighting major events. Nine dinosaur skeletons, dinosaur footprint fossils, six electric robots and the evolution of dinosaurs displayed in the exhibition hall are particularly eye-catching.
The Jewelry and Jade Exhibition Hall and the Mineral and Rock Exhibition Hall introduced the wonderful world of gems and jade, appreciation and anecdotes, and displayed exquisite gems, colorful jade, exquisite and unique rocks and mineral specimens. In the mineral resources exhibition hall, you can learn about metal minerals, non-metal minerals, energy minerals, mineral crisis and future minerals, and watch the offshore oil drilling and production platform model, natural gas production platform model and Hubei Daye iron mine model made by acousto-optic technology. Mr. Zhang He donated a special exhibition of paleontology fossils, and with more than 260 precious specimens of paleontology fossils, he unveiled the mystery of western Liaoning, a world-class fossil treasure house that created six "the best in the world" in the history of paleontology research in the world.
