During the Spring and Autumn Period, there was a skillful craftsman in the State of Chu who was good at carving stone jade, collecting ancient jade and identifying jewelry. His name is Bian He. One day, he went to play in the mountains, sat on a stone in the jungle and rested, thinking about his own worries and playing with the stone in his hand. Unconsciously, he found that the stone in his hand was particularly transparent and had a strong refractive index. Both the feel and the visual effect tell Bian He that this is not an ordinary stone, but this stone-like thing is a rare treasure, a rare jade! Bian He believes that such rare treasures should not be kept in their own hands, but should be contributed to the country and owned by the people. So he took it to see Li, the king of Chu. Li, the king of Chu, studied this ordinary stone carefully, but he couldn't see any tricks, so he called a jade worker to identify it. Jade workers are also mediocre. He couldn't see that it was a rare treasure, and he was afraid that Li Wang would blame it, so he said it was a stone. King Li said that he had committed the crime of deceiving the monarch, so he cut off Bian He's left foot. Bian He believed in his eyesight and felt wronged, but he was afraid of Li Wang's deterrence, so he had to go home with injustice. In Chu Wuwang, Bian He thought, if the emperor changed, maybe this rare treasure can be recognized by the new owner and have a good home. But when he presented this jade to the King of Chu, the jade craftsman identified it as a stone, and King Wu also cut off Bian He's right foot for cheating the King of Chu. Poor Bian, he lost his feet for this jade. Until King Wen acceded to the throne, Bian He cried for three days and three nights at the foot of Jingshan with jade in her arms, and her eyes were full of blood. King Wen sent someone to ask him, and Bian He said, "I'm not sad about losing my feet, but because Baoyu is regarded as a stone and an honest man is regarded as an arrogant person. I feel sorry for this unfair treatment! " So King Wen cut this rough jade open, and it was really a beautiful jade. To commemorate Bian He's contribution, this piece of beautiful jade was named "Heshibi".
Sui Zhu is also a treasure. Legend has it that there was a "land of the Eastern Han Dynasty" in ancient times, and there was a vassal named Ji in China called "Sui Hou". One day, Sui Hou met a big snake on the road. The serpent was badly injured and half of its body was about to break. Sui Hou felt it was a pity, so he went home to get the medicine, applied it to the wound, wrapped it with a cloth belt, and the snake got into the bush.
A few days later, when Emperor Yangdi was taking a boat by the river, suddenly a big snake floated from the river and swam towards him with his head held high. Sui Hou was scared out of her wits. But the serpent didn't hurt him, but spit out a huge pearl from his mouth. At this time, a closer look shows that this snake is the injured snake he saved before. He suddenly understood, "ah! This is the snake that sent me pearls to repay my kindness. " So he happily took the pearl. Later, people called this magical pearl "Sui Zhu".
