Henan Vocational College of Geology and Mineral Resources is a public full-time ordinary college approved by the people's government of Henan Province and put on record by the Ministry of Education, focusing on cultivating land and resources professionals. College is under the management of Henan Provincial Department of Education, and it is the only higher vocational college named after geology and minerals in the central and western regions, which mainly trains high-skilled talents in land and resources, geology and minerals.
The College is located in Baisha Vocational Education Park in Zhengdong New District, covering an area of 387 mu, with a building area of108900 square meters. The total value of teaching, scientific research and experimental training equipment is 26.46 million yuan, and there are 45 experimental training places in the school, which are suitable for paper books149500 copies. It has a perfect library and literature management and computer network service system.

Among them, the specialty covers the basic geological survey of land and resources, mineral exploration and exploitation, geology and mineral industry, mining, energy and other departments, engineering survey and geotechnical engineering survey and design of urban construction, transportation, water conservancy, electric power, environmental protection and other fields, and has obvious school-running and industry characteristics.
Under the leadership of the Education Department and the guidance of the Steering Committee for School-enterprise Cooperation in Vocational Education of Geology and Mineral Industry of Henan Province, the College has closely trained talents with the Department of Land and Resources of Henan Province and the Geology and Mineral Industry of Henan Province, established Kimberly Jewelry College in cooperation with Kimberly Jewelry, and cooperated with JD.COM Group, Jingwei Automobile and Zhiyou Group to carry out professional construction, which fully embodies the vocational education concepts such as integration of production and education and school-enterprise cooperation.
