It is often heard that jewelers say that their jadeites are "A goods" rather than "B goods", which many consumers don't understand. In fact, "A goods" refers to natural jadeite without any artificial chemical treatment, and its jade quality, color and structure are all natural. "B goods" refers to jadeite soaked in strong acid and then consolidated with organic matter. This treatment is to soak jadeite with strong acid to remove brown or gray underground, and then fill the space where jadeite is eroded by acid with vacuum glue. Observing the treated jadeite under strong light source shows that turtle cracks, loose structures and glue exist in cracks. What's more, the so-called "C goods" are artificially dyed jadeite, and its jade quality is true and its color is artificially colored. And "B+C" jadeite soaked in strong acid, added with dye and consolidated with organic matter. However, at present, some unscrupulous merchants in the market often use "B goods", "C goods" and "B+C goods" to pretend to be high-grade "A goods" for sales. When you buy, you'd better look for a jewelry store with a guaranteed reputation, rather than trusting street vendors.
