Basic information of Putuo District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Putuo District Chinese Medicine Hospital, formerly known as Tongshan Hospital, was founded in 9 years of the Republic of China (1920), and 1965 was renamed as Putuo County Chinese Medicine Hospital. It is one of several traditional Chinese medicine hospitals established earlier in Zhejiang Province. At present, it has become a second-class first-class Chinese medicine hospital with distinctive Chinese medicine characteristics, which integrates clinical medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive health care. It is the teaching hospital of Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the clinical, teaching and scientific research guidance center of traditional Chinese medicine in the whole region, and the community health service center of shenjiamen Street. There are 267 employees in the hospital, including 224 medical technicians, 25 with senior titles and 52 with intermediate titles. There are 19 first-class clinical departments, including emergency department, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine department, pediatrics department, orthopedics department, dermatology department, stomatology department, intestinal department, Chinese and western gynecology department, surgery department, ophthalmology department, acupuncture department, anorectal department, oncology department, ENT department, massage department and convenience clinic. It also offers 33 specialties such as urology, hepatobiliary, gastroenterology, cardiovascular, calculus, diabetes, prostate, laparoscopy, venereal diseases, hyperactivity disorder, urology, burn plastic surgery, cosmetology, nephrology, orthodontics and scapulohumeral periarthritis. The hospital has a comprehensive inpatient building of 6000 square meters, with four wards: surgery (orthopedics), internal medicine (oncology), gynecology (anorectal) and pediatrics. Each ward has 1-3 beds and facilities such as toilets, air conditioning and color TV. Equipped with a large number of modern medical instruments such as American GE multi-row spiral CT, Japanese Fuji CR, American GE Doppler color B-ultrasound, Philip HDI—5000 Doppler color Doppler ultrasonic instrument, Japanese PenTex electronic gastroscope, children's electronic gastroscope, Beckman automatic biochemical instrument, 500mA TV system, remote control X-ray machine, dynamic electrocardiogram machine, imported anesthesia machine, imported laparoscopy and enteroscope, lithotriptor, etc., a central oxygen supply and central suction system has been established. In 2005, the hospital treated 277,000 patients throughout the year, maintaining a leading position among county-level Chinese medicine hospitals in the province.
