The working principle of plate heat exchanger is through heat transfer mechanism.

The working principle of plate heat exchanger is realized by heat transfer mechanism. According to the laws of thermodynamics, heat is always transferred spontaneously from a high-temperature object to a low-temperature object. Two fluids with different temperatures flow in the space separated from the wall, and the heat exchange between the two fluids is promoted by heat conduction on the wall and convection on the wall surface.

Plate heat exchanger is a kind of heat exchanger which is made of thin metal plates pressed into corrugated heat exchanger plates, then stacked and fastened with plywood and bolts. A slender rectangular channel is formed between the plates, and heat exchange is carried out through the half plates. The working fluid flows through a narrow and tortuous channel formed between two plates.

Hot and cold fluids pass through the flow channel in turn, and there is a sandwich plate in the middle to separate the fluids, and heat exchange is carried out through this plate. The structure and heat exchange principle of plate heat exchanger determine that it has the characteristics of compact structure, small floor space, high heat transfer efficiency, large operating flexibility, wide application range, small heat loss and convenient installation and cleaning.
