Lin Zhaoen, the word Maoxun, is named Longjiang, and the name is Guzi. Disciples are called Mr. Lin, Trinity Leader, from Putian, Fujian. Born in the 12th year of Zheng De in the Ming Dynasty (15 17), 18 years old was born in Zhu Sheng, and then took the rural examination, and failed in Sun Shan three times in a row. From the age of 30, he abandoned his fame to learn Taoism, went in and out of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, studied the purport of Buddhism and Taoism, and founded the theory of the unity of three religions. Many followers died in the 26th year of Wanli (1598) at the age of 82.
Lin read widely, learned from three schools and wrote a lot. During the forty-five years from the thirty-second year of Jiajing to his death in the twenty-sixth year of Wanli, several works were published almost every year. There are The Complete Works of the Woods, On the Authenticity of the Three Religions of the Woods, The Collection of the Woods, etc. The complete works of Lin Zhaoen with different versions at home and abroad are 16 kinds, which are collected in Japan's Respect Pavilion Library, Japan's Cabinet Library, Princeton University and Beijing Library, Nanjing University Library and Taiwan's Academia Sinica. However, the author consulted 100 and many other writings about Trinity leader Lin Zhaoen himself and his disciples (1), but did not record the purpose of this book.
The integration of the three religions is the main theme of China's social thoughts after the Tang and Song Dynasties, and the Ming Dynasty is an important development period of the theory of the integration of the three religions. Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, took the lead in advocating reconciliation among the three religions. After Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty, the theory of the unity of the three religions was popular not only among scholars and monks and nuns, but also among the people. Lin Zhaoen inherited and developed the theory of the integration of three religions in history. He believes that the three religions are not only homologous, but also have no strict differences in all aspects, and their contents are basically the same. He believes that the three religions are all theories about mind, body and life; All three religions advocate introspection and invent true nature; He believes that the three religions have the same principle of being alive, and all advocate both internal and external cultivation, and physical and mental life does not interfere with discipline ethics; He believes that all three religions advocate "indisputable", and so do the three religions experience "Tao". On this basis, Lin Zhaoen established a unique, huge and complete ideological system of the integration of the three religions. It is worth mentioning that even today, many scholars have pointed out that Confucian culture based on Confucius and Mencius has accommodated Mozi's theory of opposition, supplemented the shortcomings of Taoism in Laozi and Zhuangzi, accepted the essence of Buddhism, removed theological elements, and made it philosophical, colliding with western culture, thus reaching a reasonable ideological and cultural system that conforms to the development trend of the times.
Although Lin Zhaoen's life works are abundant, quite a few of them were written by disciples, with many versions, and some of them have been lost overseas. Opening the Romance of Three Religions to the right is one of them. The only difference is that it publicizes the purpose of the trinity in the form of romance novels, which is very popular among the people. The book * * * 20 volumes, 100 chapter. Wan Li Bai Men Wan Juan Lou Edition. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Japanese invaders suffered serious disasters in Fujian. During the thirty-seven to forty-two years of Jiajing alone, Japanese invaders invaded Putian as many as nine times, robbing, plundering, burning and killing people. The dead people in Puxian lie on each other's pillows, and the corpses are all wild animals. The scene was terrible. Lin Zhaoen sold his family property and made selfless dedication. He organized his disciples to bury and cremate tens of thousands of bodies six times. The spirit of "the living are not infected with the epidemic, and the dead have peace of mind" is deplorable! On the occasion of the 488th anniversary of the birth of Linzi,
