How can I DIY snowboard? What is the safety factor?
I have a method for making snowboards, which can be used as a reference:

1) The disengager follows the ready-made disengager of the old snowboard manufacturer. (The detacher is very important, and it should be bounced off under the specified kg to ensure safety)

2) The base plate is reformed by using old-fashioned skis: the plastic at the bottom is stripped, the steel snow lines are removed, and the bottom of the flat plate is repaired. (The old snowboard base plate is made of compressed wood)

3) The new snowboard base plate is made of a whole piece of soft hacksaw, which is cut out according to the pre-designed shape, replacing both the snowboard base plate and steel snow lines. (according to the large-head plate type)

4) Use epoxy resin and filler to bond and integrate the whole bottom of the steel hacksaw strip with the snowboard base plate, so as to fill the missing part of the base plate. (Many pressure fixtures are used for bonding)

5) Final shaping, polishing and painting with hand grinding wheel.

But personally, if you don't know much about snowboarding, you'd better not do it yourself, so the safety factor should not be too high. If you want to do it yourself, I suggest that you do it under the guidance of professionals, who know more about how to make and use snowboards and are more professional than us. I hope my suggestions will help you:)
