How to treat thyroiditis?
Thyroiditis is a common disease, mostly in women, and its treatment still needs to be understood in time, so let's see how to treat thyroiditis.

1. First of all, hyperthyroidism should be treated conservatively, usually only β -blockers are needed. Antithyroid drugs, surgery and radiotherapy are contraindications. Transient hypothyroidism may require thyroid hormone replacement therapy. Although some may be permanent hypothyroidism, most thyroid functions return to normal, so thyroid functions should be re-evaluated after 6 ~ 12 months.

2. Second, patients with mild goiter and no symptoms can be treated and should be followed up. When the thyroid gland is obviously enlarged or hypothyroidism occurs, even if the serum TSH is only increased, thyroid preparations should be given. Patients with rapid goiter, pain or compression symptoms can be treated with glucocorticoid for a short time. Hashimoto's hyperthyroidism should be treated with low-dose antithyroid drugs, generally without 13 1 iodine and surgery to avoid severe hypothyroidism.

3. Third, corticosteroids should be advocated in more serious and prolonged cases, which will disappear completely within two days after use, but this will have certain side effects. When the thyroid radioactive iodine absorption returns to normal, the treatment can be ended and the condition will get better.

Matters needing attention

Patients with thyroiditis must pay attention to their diet. Don't eat salty food or seafood. Don't eat spicy food, don't drink, don't eat high-fat food and greasy food.
