ZBrush carving demon model tutorial:
1. Load the basic model.
After loading the basic model, enter the editing mode and press the T key. As you can see, the main skeleton modules are in place.
2. Subdivision model
Click the Split button twice to subdivide the model. At this time, a large number of polygons may be needed to add details to the model head, so try to use high-density polygons boldly.
You can usually use DamStandard brush to add details. Of course, you can use your favorite brush. It doesn't matter if the brush radius is small when carving. Try to improve the nose and nostrils first, and then deal with the area around the teeth.
3. Facial feature processing
Use a smooth brush to blur the sculpture area you are working on. Draw lines around the eyes, and then continue to deal with eyebrows, mouth and nose. If the work looks too sharp, remember to sharpen it with a smooth brush. Small corners of the face can be made by drawing a line around the corners.
You can also use the Squeeze Brush to enhance the strokes, isolate the polygon group of the face-hold down Ctrl+Shift and click the face-and then optimize the eyes and face to improve the nose and chin.
Step 4 modify the forehead
Carve rough lines and then clean them with a pinch brush. Hold down Ctrl+Shift again, click on the canvas to reproduce the whole model, then process the forehead surface and draw regular lines. When finished, choose polygroup to carve some irregular rough lines at the biggest corner of the head (Ctrl+Shift+ click on the biggest corner), and then clean them with a pinch brush. This step is time-consuming, because the model needs reverse engineering to complete the line operation, and these lines are still rough, but we will come back to deal with this area later.
Step 5 create lines
There are two ways to create a straight line. One of them is to isolate the corner behind the head and add details. Here, you only need to draw a mask (hold down Ctrl and draw directly on the corner), and you don't need to carve lines. When finished, enter the deformation menu, adjust the interpolation slider to form lines, and then use the pinch brush to perfect these lines.
6, improve the devil's torso
Next, deal with the body parts, improve the muscle system and prominent bones, such as clavicle, and sharpen the muscles of the neck.
First, isolate this area to strengthen the surface around the nose and teeth, then use a pinch brush to deal with the smaller corners of the face and draw some strokes to create it.
Step 7 add wrinkles to your face
Isolate the polygon of the face and draw some wrinkles on the forehead and eyebrows. Here, you can use DamStandard brush, which is very suitable for this type of sculpture.
Sharpen the wrinkles under the eyes and on the nose, move the nostrils upward to highlight the facial expression, and then continue to process the area around the teeth.
8. Add eye details
Use an expansion brush to increase the volume under the eyes, and do the same for the eyebrows and forehead. Try to draw lines between wrinkles to highlight them, reproduce the whole model again and add more wrinkles to the head.
Next, focus on the largest corner, carve some lines on the corner moderately along the direction of the corner, and try to use a smaller radius.
9, the use is not standardized
Repeat the same operation on smaller corners, but first sharpen their edges with a pinch brush and constantly change the radius of the brush to add some irregularities. The next step is to study how to add more details using alphas.
First, select the standard brush, then select DragRect under strokes and Alpha22 in the alpha menu, then turn off symmetry and use this brush to draw on the top of your head.
10, add some.
Choose alpha06 to add spots, and draw some spots on your shoulders and head. It is important to turn off symmetry in this step, so as not to draw the same shape in the same position on both sides, break the roundness of the spots and look more natural.
Practice makes true knowledge! Therefore, you should try to use different alphas to see if you can get some good results, and be careful not to overload alpha with unnecessary details.
1 1. Carve the neck vein
Next, we should further deal with the face and improve the chin. If necessary, use a pinch brush to sharpen the wrinkles on the nose. When the face treatment is almost the same, choose the polygon group of the neck to isolate the neck and draw some small veins on each side.
And carved some lines on the chest and arms. If you have some references at hand, try to use them and draw some points on your face (remember to turn off symmetry in this step).
12, sharpen the muscle system
Next, add more body details by sharpening the muscle system and drawing some strokes on the arm.
At the same time, we should also focus on the chest part. If necessary, subdivide the model for the last time, then select the standard brush, DragRect and Alpha07, and add some particles to some parts of the body and face.
13, adding noise
Carve more irregular places on your face and body, such as tiny scratches, wrinkles and scars. Repeat the same operation as dealing with corners to destroy symmetry. When finished, open the surface menu and click Noise.
A new window will pop up and a slight noise will be automatically applied to the model. Adjust the Scale and Intensity sliders, and then click OK. Draw a mask on your face so that the area will not be affected when you operate. Finally, click Apply to Me.
14, finally improved.
Mask all areas except the maximum angle, click the Noise and Edit buttons again, then click NoisePlug to open the NoiseMaker window, select Erosion, set the scale factor to 1, click OK, adjust the Intensity slider (if necessary), and then click Apply Mesh again.
Repeat the process of the smaller corner behind the head, add some irregular strokes everywhere to end the creation, and try to use the moving tool to break the symmetry. Author: Lao Yu special effects person
