The Fifth People's Hospital of Jinan was established in 1950, and was then called "Jinan Workers' Hospital". The hospital is located at the west end of Seventh Road and is under the leadership of Shandong Provincial Department of Industry. Jinan Municipal Health Bureau is responsible for business guidance, and the funds are supplied by Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Hospital. When the hospital was founded, there were 50 employees. Among them, there are 0/5 medical staff/kloc, 35 administrative staff and 52 hospital beds. From 65438 to 0954, Jinan Workers' Hospital was transferred to the leadership of Jinan Health Bureau, and the source of funds was changed from Jinan Health Bureau to differential subsidy. 1In July, 972, Jinan Municipal Health Bureau approved the renaming of Jinan Workers' Hospital as Jinan Fifth People's Hospital. 1993 passed the work evaluation of the international health organization and UNICEF, and was rated as a national baby-friendly hospital. During the period of 1994, Shandong Provincial Hospital Classification Management Jury evaluated our hospital as a second-class first-class hospital. After comprehensive evaluation, our hospital was determined as a "second-class first-class hospital" through comprehensive analysis. 1995 passed the evaluation by the evaluation team in April. In April 2004, with the care and support of Jinan Federation of Trade Unions and Jinan Municipal Health Bureau, and with the support of Jinan Fifth People's Hospital, the brand of "Jinan Workers' Hospital" was restored and hung up. In August, 2004, jinan military area command 106 Hospital was leased and renamed as "Jinan 106 Hospital", and the first aid sub-center of Jinan 106 Hospital was established.

In 2004, the hospital set up a cardiac interventional therapy center, equipped with German Siemens 1250mA large C-arm. The center has carried out interventional diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and peripheral vascular and organ tumors. In 2005, the hospital set up a hemodialysis center. Hemodialysis center uses blood purification system to treat nephritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and other secondary kidney diseases, acute and chronic renal insufficiency and other diseases, which is unique in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid and diabetes. In 2006, the hospital established a physical examination center and an endoscopic diagnosis and treatment department. It can also perform a series of gastroscopic treatments and provide diagnosis and treatment for patients with digestive tract diseases by radio frequency therapy.

In June+February, 2008, there were 405 beds in the hospital, 320 beds were actually opened, 30 clinical and medical departments, 5 functional departments 1 person, and 72 employees1person, including 664 professional and technical personnel, with sub-senior or above titles and intermediate titles1person. The hospital has 16-slice spiral CT, real-time four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic instrument, DR digital X-ray machine, plasma bipolar endoscope system, a new generation of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, urodynamics instrument, computer-aided design brain stereotactic system and 140 advanced equipment. At present, urology, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, neurosurgery, orthopedics, community health service management and obstetrics and gynecology are the key specialties of the hospital.
