1996, Gansu Zhongli Economic and Trade Group applied for the approval of Gansu Provincial Planning Commission to build Blue Sky Garden in the central beach of the Yellow River in Chengguan District, making it a multi-functional community integrating office, business, home and leisure. In order to communicate the traffic between Blue Sky Park and the banks of the Yellow River, Neutral Group invested in the construction of Neutral Yellow River Bridge in June1996+1October. The suspension bridge is 360m long and 8.5m wide, and the main bridge span is180m. The bridge was built by the Bridge Engineering Department of the First Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of Railways.
The bridge was named "Neutral Bridge" after it was completed at the end of 1997. It was the first Yellow River Bridge invested and built by private enterprises in Lanzhou, but it was not opened to traffic for various reasons.
Before and after the National Day in 2005, experts from Wuhan Bridge Research Institute were invited to carry out "security inspection" on the medium bridge. Results There are potential safety hazards in this bridge, and it is suggested to reinforce it.
In July, 2006, the executive meeting of the municipal government passed the "Maintenance, Reinforcement and Approach Road Reconstruction Plan of Neutral Yellow River Bridge". After reinforcement, only non-motor vehicles and pedestrians are allowed to pass, but the maintenance and reinforcement scheme has not been implemented for various reasons.
In 2009, with the development and construction of the central beach area, there are two opinions on the fate of the neutral bridge-demolition or preservation.
20 10 the municipal party Committee and the municipal government are determined to solve the "half-pull" project in the city. On April 8, Lanzhou Municipal Engineering Management Office issued a tender notice, and completed the bridge demolition before July 6 as planned.
