The late Professor Chen is a world-famous public health expert, a pioneer of primary health care, the founder of rural tertiary health care network and the founder of modern health education in China, and is known as "the father of public health in China". Professor Chen devoted himself to the medical cause all his life, with rigorous scholarship, advocating science and being brave in innovation, and made outstanding contributions to human health and public health in China.

The college has always attached importance to the construction of teaching materials. Health Statistics, a planning textbook of the Ministry of Health edited by teachers in our college, has been published in three editions. 1 was rated as an excellent textbook of the Ministry of Health, and the third edition won the third prize of outstanding scientific and technological progress in medicine and health of the Ministry of Health. Since 2002 alone, college teachers have edited 53 textbooks.
