1, before the washing machine is connected to the faucet, we need to observe the type of faucet first. If it is a washing machine faucet, the installation is very simple. We just need to insert the water inlet pipe of the faucet directly into the water outlet of the faucet and screw the other end of the water inlet pipe on the washing machine.
After the washing machine is connected to the faucet, we still have to test it, mainly to see if it leaks.
2. If the faucet of the washing machine is ordinary, when we buy the water inlet pipe of the washing machine, the merchant may send a steel head. If not, then we need to buy a faucet adapter.
The steel head presented by the general merchants is connected to the water inlet pipe of the washing machine. We just need to clamp the washing faucet with a steel head, and then tighten the screw to connect the water inlet pipe at the other end to the washing machine. We need to test the tap after it is connected.
What should I do if the faucet of washing machine leaks?
1. The water inlet pipe is not tightened. This situation often occurs when the water inlet pipe is installed, which leads to water leakage when the washing machine is used, or the washing machine is used for a long time and the connector is loose. Tighten the joint with the maintenance tool, and the problem of water leakage in the water inlet pipe of the washing machine will be solved.
The water inlet pipe is broken. Due to long-term water erosion, the joint of the water inlet pipe will be corroded, resulting in water leakage. The only solution is to replace the water inlet pipe.
3. The most common reason is that the water stop (fixing screw) of the faucet is damaged. In this case, it is only necessary to remove the faucet with plate pliers and rewind a new water stop at the fixing screw.
4. If the faucet is fastened, the cause of water leakage may be water leakage at the outlet, which is generally caused by the wear of the axial gasket of the faucet. In this case, you can loosen the gland bolt with pliers and remove it, take out the axial washer with a clamp and replace it with a new axial washer.
5. In addition, it is also possible that the triangular gasket in the gland is worn, resulting in water leakage under the faucet bolt. In this case, you can loosen the screw first, remove the bolt head, then loosen the gland, remove the triangular gasket inside the gland and replace it with a new one.
6. Loose nut may also cause water leakage at the nozzle joint. You can retighten the cap nut or replace it with a new U-shaped washer.
