Shantou University Medical College has five directly affiliated hospitals (First Affiliated Hospital, Second Affiliated Hospital, Affiliated Tumor Hospital, Mental Health Center and Ophthalmology Center) and five non-directly affiliated hospitals (Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, Peyo People's Hospital, Shenzhen Longgang Central Hospital, Shenzhen Children's Hospital and Sanya People's Hospital). Under the personal advocacy and care of Mr. Li Ka-shing, the hospice medical service plan, the medical poverty alleviation action and the Rainbow Plan have become the three major characteristic projects for building a dedication culture and building a harmonious society.
