Variety Source: Black Rose is a table grape variety bred in California in 1950s, and its parents are (Damace Rose× Seedless Purple) and Rifelli. It is cultivated all over China. Eurasian species.
Botanical characteristics: green shoots, no fluff. Young leaves are thin, lavender and shiny, with sparse fluff on the upper surface and no fluff on the lower surface. Mature leaves are large, nearly round, of medium thickness, dark green, 5-lobed, shallow-lobed, wavy, with smooth surface, sparse white hairs on the back, large jagged edge and slightly dull. The petiole depression is oval. Petiole purplish red, shorter than midvein, short internode. Amphoteric flowers.
Fruit characteristics: the spike is large, with an average spike weight of 700g, conical, small shoulders and compact and beautiful spike shape. The fruit is large, with an average grain weight of 8.0g, rectangular, deep purple, thick and tough skin, thick fruit powder, thick and crisp pulp, soluble solid content of 17.0% and acid content of about 0.6%. The fruit is rich in flavor, sweet and sour, and slightly irregular in color.
Growth and fruiting habits: the tree is robust, vigorous, resistant to stress, and not strict with soil, water and fertilizer. Average per branch 1.37 ear. The ear is planted in the 4th ~ 6th node, and the yield is high, but the fruit is easy to get sunburned, and it is easy to crack due to uneven moisture before ripening. In Huailai area of Hebei Province, it germinates in late April, blooms in early June, fruits are colored in early August and ripens in late September. It takes more than 160 days from germination to maturity, and it belongs to late-maturing variety.
