Management Points Sharing of Hanging Petunia
1, environment

Petunia likes warm, sunny and cool environment, is slightly cold-resistant and high-temperature-resistant, afraid of drought and waterlogging, has low requirements on water, fertilizer and soil, and is suitable for growing in fertile soil with good drainage and rich humus.

2. Sunshine and temperature.

Petunia can only bloom in the sun for a long time. Potted plants must be placed in a well-lit environment, and the branches can only bloom when they are about 10 cm long, otherwise short sunshine will inhibit flower buds and bloom less. Continuous rainy days will delay flowering. Keep the temperature at 4- 10 degrees in winter, plant growth stops when it is lower than 3 degrees, and it can tolerate 35 degrees in summer.

3. Water and fertilizer.

Petunia likes fat, and there is plenty of water and fertilizer in the growing period. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer are applied once every half month to promote strong roots and lush foliage. Nitrogen fertilizer is stopped before flowering, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer are topdressing at flowering stage. During the peak growth period in summer, keep enough water. You can choose to water the basin soil in the morning and evening, but don't accumulate water. The roots of stagnant water will rot and the whole plant will wither and die. Keep the soil moist in winter.

Step 4 trim.

Petunia branches grow fast, and some plants have few branches, which will cause the flower basket to be not full and need to be trimmed in time. When there are 15-20 branches, the plant can grow vertically. Prune the old branches in time before growing new branches. Cut off the failed buds during flowering to avoid absorbing too much nutrients, and cut off the old leaves that turn yellow in time.

5. management.

Petunia has strong disease resistance and generally does not get sick, but excessive watering will make it aging or die of root rot. Excessive drought will lead to the drying and aging of plant leaves and the death of old leaves. When the fertility is insufficient, it will also cause the leaves to turn yellow, the leaves to become smaller, the flowers to become less, and the color to become lighter.
