Cultivation methods and techniques of butterfly plum
1, soil

How to raise butterfly plums? If they are bought in potted plants, everyone should change the soil for them. Because flower shops or online butterfly plum potted plants have ready-made pots of soil, but the soil is generally very cheap. If you want butterfly plums to grow well, you'd better change them into loose and fertile sand with good air permeability and drainage. This kind of soil is more conducive to the butterfly plum to absorb nutrients, thus producing more and more beautiful flowers.

2. Lighting equipment

Light is the key to plant growth, and it also plays a vital role in the cultivation method of Prunus mume. However, butterflies like shade, so they don't need much light. So they can be cultivated indoors and put in a place with astigmatism to receive some light. But around the plum blossom period, proper lighting can make it bloom more brightly.

Note: Butterfly plum is afraid of strong light, so don't let it receive direct sunlight when cultivating, otherwise it will easily burn the plant, affect the normal growth, and even cause butterfly plum not to bloom in severe cases.

3. Temperature

Butterfly plum likes high temperature environment, and the optimum growth temperature is 16-30℃, but when the temperature exceeds 32℃, the plant will enter semi-dormant state; In addition, Prunus mume is not cold-tolerant, and the room temperature should not be lower than 13℃ in winter. Therefore, how to raise butterfly plums and adjust the temperature in time is also very important.

Note: The minimum growth temperature of plum blossom should be kept above 65438 05℃. In winter, plums are generally maintained indoors, because there is heating equipment, so the temperature is not difficult to reach. However, don't put butterfly plums directly on the radiator or too close.

water

Water is the source of plant life, so watering is an essential part in the cultivation method of butterfly plum. It is understood that butterfly plum should be watered frequently in high humidity environment. Generally speaking, it is necessary to keep the basin soil moist. When the weather is too dry, water can be poured every 2 ~ 3 days.

Note: Butterfly plums do not have thick pseudobulb to store water, so when the air humidity is insufficient, their leaves will wrinkle and weaken, which will affect the viewing, so it is necessary to maintain a high air humidity.

5, fertilization

After watering, let's talk about fertilization, which is also an indispensable part in the breeding process of butterfly plum. Moreover, butterflies and plums are fond of fertilizer, and they should be fertilized all year round. They should not stop fertilizing unless the low temperature lasts for a long time.

Note: when applying fertilizer to plum blossom, the concentration should be lower, and watering 1 time per week is equivalent to watering; In addition, fertilization should be stopped during plum blossom or when the temperature is lower than 15℃ in winter.
