20 1 1 The 26th Summer Universiade started the taekwondo competition. Despite her mediocre performance in the women's individual final, China's Zhang Jingjing won the championship with 8.58 points.

When Zhang Jingjing was in the sixth grade, in order to keep fit, he went to Wuhan Taekwondo Club to practice Taekwondo and studied under Li Tao.
