Osteomandibular augmentation with autogenous bone
After autogenous bone augmentation surgery, some bones will be absorbed. This kind of operation is often performed at the same time as the resection of mandibular angle and mandibular angle margin, and the so-called "waste utilization" is carried out by using the resected mandible. Because the mandibular angle or mandibular margin bone is completely anastomosed with the mandible, the postoperative bone absorption is far less than that of distal bone transplantation.
