Northern Jiangsu is a little behind compared to southern Jiangsu. Since the Sui Dynasty, Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty, Jiangnan has been developed in all dynasties. The Sui Dynasty developed Jiangnan shipping and the Grand Canal, and the Tang Dynasty expanded cities in Jiangnan and dug water networks. , large-scale markets were established to promote urbanization. The Song Dynasty developed international trade in the south of the Yangtze River, and there were 13 shipping companies in the country. In the fourth year of Kaibao (971), Taizu of the Northern Song Dynasty, the Guangzhou Shipping Department was established. In the second year of Xianping (999) of Emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, Hangzhou City Shipping Department and Mingzhou City Shipping Department (Mingzhou today Ningbo) were established. In the second year of Yuanyou (1078) of Emperor Zhezong of the Northern Song Dynasty, Quanzhou City Bosi and Mizhou City Bosi (Mizhou now Qingdao) were established. In the third year of Zhenghe's reign (1113), Emperor Huizong of the Northern Song Dynasty established the Ship Division of Huating City in Xiuzhou (today's Huating, Shanghai). During the Xining period of Shenzong, the Bosi of Xiuzhou Kanpu City (now Haiyan, Zhejiang) was established. In the 15th year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1145), Jiangyin Port Shipping Department and Wenzhou Shipping Department were established. It injected a lot of vitality into the economy of Jiangnan, and the construction in the Ming and Qing Dynasties was even more impressive. After the founding of New China, Shanghai was mainly developed, so the development of northern Jiangsu was delayed to some extent.
Jiangsu Province proposed coastal development in the past two years after proposing the Xuzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area, but it was difficult to implement it. The Jiangsu coastal area is all in northern Jiangsu. In the next 10 years, the economy of northern Jiangsu will reach Sunan’s current level.
Partial transcendence is also just around the corner
