What if the baby has ears?
The earlobe is a kind of ear deformity, which is usually congenital. Because the earlobe will have a great impact on the image, it is easy to cause the patient's inferiority complex, so it is necessary to treat the earlobe in time. So, what about the baby ear flap? Let's ask a professional doctor to give us an answer!

Wind-blown ear plastic surgery is not very traumatic, and patients who generally need to improve the shape of auricle can have surgery. In order not to affect the normal psychological development of children, surgery can generally be performed at the age of 5-6, when the auricle is only a few millimeters away from adults, and surgery has little effect on it. Bilateral auricle plastic surgery should be completed in one operation.

First, the corrective steps of ear surgery

(1) Incision: Gently press the upper helix with your finger to make it appear as a ridge, thus showing the normal position of the helix and hind foot. Determine the position of cartilage incision.

(2) Make a fusiform incision behind the ear. After extensive dissection, make a cartilage incision at X, Y and Z according to the calibration point, and cut through the cartilage without cutting through the skin in front of the ear. The incision is slightly separated from the cartilage edge, or thinned with a steel brush, and the blade is thinned to facilitate curling.

(3) Suture cartilage into tubular ligature with thread from bottom to top, and tie a knot in the tube. Tension is based on keeping the proper shape of the ear, and it is not necessary to tie the thread tightly to form a complete cartilage tube. Gently press the scaphoid, keep the normal angle between the auricle and the cranial side, and remove excess lunate cartilage.

(4) To prevent the cartilage tube from slipping behind the concha, one or several stitches can be sutured with the concha margin for fixation.

(5) Cut off the excess skin behind the ear and sew it. After the operation, the wound was bandaged with dressing, and the stitches were removed 10 day after the operation. The wound was bandaged for three weeks after stitches were removed, and there was no excessive oppression for three months.

Second, preoperative preparation

1. Doctors should explain the operation purpose, treatment methods, operation steps, effects and matters needing attention during and after operation to the children's families realistically, so that the children's families can have a correct understanding of the disease, make full psychological preparations and actively cooperate.

2, a comprehensive understanding of medical history, physical examination, according to anesthesia and surgery need to do all necessary auxiliary examination. Before and after the operation, the photos of the front, side, inclined plane and back of the auricle were taken as reference.

3. Wash your hair 1 day before the operation and shave off the hair around your ears. Girls should roll up their long braids or pull them across. Those who need general anesthesia should be prepared before general anesthesia.

Many parents don't know much about earlobes and think that earlobe surgery is very dangerous. In addition, the child is too young to do ear flap surgery for the child too early. In fact, ear flap surgery is not as complicated as we thought. Generally, as long as you choose a big hospital, ear flap can be well treated.
