Chronic hepatitis can evolve into liver fibrosis, cirrhosis and even liver cancer, which is an important reason why many people are afraid of hepatitis at present. China is an area with high incidence of hepatitis. Hepatic fibrosis and cirrhosis caused by viral hepatitis and alcoholic liver disease are frequently-occurring and common diseases. After the liver is inflamed due to various reasons, such as hepatitis virus, fibrous connective tissue will proliferate, which is liver fibrosis. Hepatic fibrosis does not appear in the form of large scars, but diffuse fibrous hyperplasia. According to research, among the 654.38+0.2 billion people in China, there are 654.38+0.2 billion people with hepatitis B surface antigen and more than 30 million people with chronic hepatitis. 25-40% of these patients will eventually develop cirrhosis or liver cancer. Hepatic fibrosis is the pathological basis of chronic hepatitis, and its incidence rate is 64% in mild hepatitis and 100% in moderate and severe hepatitis. For many years, people have been trying to reverse early cirrhosis. Although there is a lot of research in the field of western medicine, there is still a lack of good strategies at home and abroad. There are many experimental studies abroad. At one time, it was thought that a drug called colchicine was promising to treat liver cirrhosis, but it was later proved to be basically ineffective.

Professor Wang Baoen of Beijing Friendship Hospital pointed out that liver fibrosis is a non-static dynamic process, which can be aggravated by pathogenic factors or alleviated by treatment. They created and developed 10 mixture of traditional Chinese medicine, which has a good effect on liver fibrosis and early cirrhosis, can effectively inhibit and eliminate inflammation and necrosis of liver tissue, and can directly act on hepatic stellate cells, thus inhibiting and reducing collagen synthesis that causes fibrosis, increasing collagen degradation and correcting the imbalance between them. Chronic hepatitis is mostly caused by pathogenic factors, qi stagnation and blood stasis, liver and blood loss, and then spleen and kidney are injured. The traditional Chinese medicine has the effects of invigorating qi, promoting blood circulation, nourishing blood, softening liver, invigorating spleen and tonifying kidney, thereby improving liver function and eliminating liver fibrosis.

They followed up 62 patients with chronic hepatitis B, and made liver biopsies before and half a year after treatment, which proved that liver fibrosis in each stage was obviously reversed, and early cirrhosis was obviously reversed, which was significantly different from the control group.

This study broke the traditional concept of irreversibility of liver cirrhosis, and opened up a new treatment way for blocking and reversing liver fibrosis with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.
