A black and beautiful healthy hair is often a good example that every woman pursues. However, within 3 to 6 months after delivery, many postpartum mothers who love beauty suddenly realize how they suddenly lost their hair desperately. Sometimes it is very serious, even if you pull it gently with your hand, you will get a big piece. Do mothers in love have such personal troubles and troubles? Let the experts in this unit analyze it for you. How is postpartum hair loss? !

The changes of hair loss during pregnancy and postpartum women's hair loss are almost something that every pregnant mother has had. Dr Chen Meiying, director of dermatology department of Taian Hospital, pointed out that strictly speaking, postpartum alopecia symptoms are usually normal. The main reason is the change of hormones from pregnancy to postpartum, which makes the amount of hair before and after increase, resulting in a visual gap.

Director Chen Meiying explained that due to the increase of estrogen, the normal metabolism of hair during pregnancy decreased, but the hair volume tended to be dense; However, most people are not obviously aware of the increase of their hair, but mommy is worried about serious hair loss when she sees her hair falling all over the floor after delivery.

Director Chen Meiying, who knows the three cycles of hair life, explained that because hair has three cycles of metabolism, the hair follicles of the whole scalp are constantly staggered. The three cycles include: growth period, degradation period and dormancy period. For example, about 90% of healthy scalp belongs to growing hair (lasting about 3 years), less than 1% is in a state of degeneration (lasting for 3 weeks), and 9% is in a state of rest (falling off gradually after about 3 months).

Three cycles of hair metabolism: (pre-pregnancy-postpartum). ※

Characteristics of the percentage of cycle life in total hair volume: The growth period after pregnancy lasts for 3 years, and 90% ↑90-95% (increased hair volume) ↓ < 90% (normal) hair is tough and does not fall off. The degeneration period is about 3 weeks, and1%1%begins to be fragile. The rest period of equal shedding is about 9% ↓ 4% March (less hair loss) ↑ >: 9% (more hair loss). Usually, the new hair in the growing period is tough, even if it is pulled by hand, it can't be separated from the hair follicle. The time left on the scalp is about 3 years.

However, the degenerated hair and hair follicles began to atrophy and degenerate, and they were ready to fall off in about 3 weeks. Finally, although the old hair will fall out at any time, it will stay on the scalp for three months. Therefore, once it is pulled by the scalp owner for three months, it will quickly appear "fragrant and fragrant."

However, pregnancy is affected by the increase of estrogen E2 and E3, so 90-95% of hair follicle cells of pregnant women are in the "growth period", only.

Therefore, the hair loss of pregnant women will generally increase, but with the withdrawal of postpartum hormones, the hair that grows will gradually return to 90% of the average person (even some people think that hair loss is more because it is 85%, but Director Chen said it is normal). Therefore, within 3 ~ 6 months after delivery, there are obvious signs of hair loss due to the different hair loss rates of each mommy, and most of the hair loss factors are as shown in the above analysis.

Director Chen Meiying emphasized that the main reason for postpartum alopecia is that the "rest period" of hair has returned from 5-9% to 9% normal state. All hair that falls off belongs to old hair that has been preparing for metabolism for a long time, but it is inhibited by hormonal changes during pregnancy and does not fall off quickly. Therefore, postpartum alopecia actually returns to the normal growth of head hair, but because everyone's hair loss rate is different, it falls faster, and women who are more concentrated will feel particularly serious.

Question and answer Q 1. How much hair does the average person lose every day? How is serious hair loss? From the three-cycle life of hair, we can see that hair itself has a balance of dynamic activities, so it can maintain a certain number and length of hair on the top of the head.

However, how many hairs a day are still within the normal range? Dr. Chen Meiying said that it is normal for the average person to lose 50 ~ 100 hairs every day. But if you lose more than 150 hairs every day, it may be a health problem.

Q2。 What is the main cause of postpartum alopecia? Does every mommy have severe hair loss? Not every mother has severe hair loss. Some postpartum women, because their hair increased before delivery, became a "resting period" after delivery, so their hair loss was fast and concentrated, and there was serious hair loss. Director Chen also pointed out that in the growing period of hair, it can't be pulled by external force because it grows in the deepest root of hair follicle. On the contrary, the "resting period" hair seems to stick to the scalp, but it can fall off with a little pull, because the hair follicle has already shrunk, thus showing the characteristics of hair loss.

From the above explanation, postpartum alopecia is mainly caused by the metabolic performance of hair in the "resting period", not by hair follicle inflammation or other scalp factors. Therefore, if you pull your hair a little during this period, you may lose some hair at any time. If we know more, we can know that this is only a short period for the body to return to the pre-pregnancy state. Don't worry, mom.

However, Director Chen Meiying reminded mothers who seem to have slow hair loss that if they not only have hair loss within 3-6 months after delivery, but also find that a large number of hair loss even exceeds 1 year, it is recommended to take blood tests in the dermatological department or scalp clinic, and make in-depth observation on their personal medical history to find out whether the hair loss is mixed with other special reasons.

Q3。 Is "sparse hair" the reason why hair looks less? The amount of a person's hair will affect the density of appearance. Therefore, mommy, who usually has thin and soft hair, certainly seems to have less hair.

However, according to Dr. Chen Meiying, the thickness of hair (belonging to hair quality) mainly comes from family genetic factors, and is not affected by hormonal changes or external forces during pregnancy. However, mommy who is not born with soft hair must pay special attention to maintaining a balanced nutrition and health, including diet, work and rest, if she wants to improve and thicken her hair.

Q4。 Can mommy with postpartum alopecia buy hair tonic for treatment? Director Chen Meiying said that hair tonic mainly contains minoxidil, which contains vitamin H (biotin), which can help healthy hair growth.

Minoxidil is an oral dosage form, which was originally used to treat hypertension, and later it was found that it also had a preliminary effect on male alopecia, and some female patients had better effect than men. Postpartum alopecia can recover itself during rest. If postpartum mommy is worried about hair loss, she can also buy hair tonic oil to help her hair grow.

Generally speaking, minoxidil can promote scalp blood circulation, which is divided into two concentrations: 2% (morning and evening 1 time) and 5% (one day 1 time). Some patients may feel a slight sensation in the scalp.

Q5。 Can a perm look more stylish? But is there a risk? Director Chen Meiying said that perming can really improve the problem of insufficient hair volume visually, but perming is more likely to hurt the hair quality, or the medicine is too * * * scalp, which affects the unhealthy hair quality. Especially for people with soft hair, perming with hair roots will have a great influence on hair quality, and may not be able to achieve the effect of improving vision. Therefore, before choosing a perm, Mommy must carefully evaluate the depth and scope of the perm before making an appropriate decision.

Q6。 Postpartum mommy, how to keep her hair unbeaten at ordinary times? Director Chen emphasized that normal maintenance is better than treatment. Excessive pulling, high temperature blowing, lack of sleep staying up late, bad habits, postpartum depression, excessive emotional stress, improper diet and lack of protein, iron, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin H (biotin) will all cause scalp malnutrition, which will indirectly affect the quality and quantity of hair, so mothers had better pay attention.

Within one year after delivery, you should eat more seasonal fruits and vegetables with antioxidant components, supplement the nutrients needed by cell metabolism, such as high-quality protein (milk, eggs, soybeans), and keep your mood happy. The husband's full support, care and consideration for his wife is conducive to the comprehensive health care after delivery.

As for hair loss for more than one year, it may be thyroid abnormality, autoimmune diseases and so on. It is a multiple factor of pathological alopecia and needs further examination.

Director Chen Meiying pointed out that postpartum alopecia is mostly caused by hormonal factors in the body, but if you are worried, you may wish to follow the following five measures to slow down the crisis of postpartum alopecia.

1. Don't braid your hair often. Because postpartum women are in a state of "rest period", it is easy to fall off with a light pull. Therefore, it is not advisable to braid your hair regularly within half a year after delivery, which can slow down the situation that your hair falls off a lot and suddenly feels less.

2. Shortness is better than length. Long hair that is combed orderly increases the weight of the scalp more than short hair, and because the combing process is often pulled, the hair falls off more. Therefore, when hair loss is serious, it is recommended to trim it into short hair.

After all, maintaining hair volume is sometimes not the real hair volume, but often through some pruning and styling techniques, which can increase the visual hair volume, so short hair looks more fluffy than long hair.

In addition, people with long hair should comb slowly from the end of the hair, comb it to the end of the hair and then move up, and finally comb it slowly from the scalp (hair root) to the end of the hair. This combing program can also slow down the phenomenon of hair breakage and hair loss caused by excessive pulling.

3. Do not blow on high temperature or high temperature molding equipment. High-temperature and overheated styling electric drum and hair dryer are easy to cause hair damage and breakage and premature atrophy of hair follicles, thus aggravating the crisis of hair loss.

4. Balanced diet, relaxed mood, excessive pressure release and unbalanced diet are the main factors causing scalp malnutrition. Therefore, maintaining a balanced diet, a good mood, a regular life and adequate sleep are all conducive to the healthy growth of scalp hair, which should not be underestimated.

5. Wide-tooth comb to reduce electrostatic hair loss. Using a flat wooden comb with wide pitch instead of a circular comb with dense teeth is helpful to reduce a large number of hair loss caused by static electricity or carding, and can delay frequent and one-off hair loss.

(Note: delay the hair loss at rest and keep a certain amount of hair on the scalp. When the hair grows in the growth period, the hair in the static period will slowly metabolize, which is the secret recipe provided by Director Chen to keep the hair volume unbeaten! )
