Shanghai Farm in Dafeng District, Yancheng once filmed the 74-year edition of Crossing the River.
I remember a scene in which a female guerrilla captain flew into a boat with a pole. This scene was originally filmed in a reed swamp on the outskirts of Shanghai, but when reviewing the film, Jiang Qing suggested that the reed swamp was not beautiful enough and had to be filmed again.
Most of the film's creators are from Shanghai, and some of them are familiar with the Shanghai farm, saying that the reeds there are lush and can certainly meet the requirements of the head. In this way, the crew pulled to the beach outside Dafeng Salt Field and spent several weeks remaking the scene.
Shanghai Farm was approved by Chen Yi, the first mayor of Shanghai after liberation, with the number 1950. It was once the main reform and education place for criminals in Shanghai, and was once listed as a large-scale reform-through-labour unit in China by the Ministry of Public Security. Now it belongs to Shanghai Guangming Food (Group) Co., Ltd., which is the largest agricultural production base outside Shanghai and an important production base of rice bags, vegetable baskets and meat plates in Shanghai.
