The shorter trunk is beneficial to the germination of lateral branches, which makes the branch point closer to the base of trunk and provides more branch support options for future modeling. 3. After truncating, it is necessary to further truncate and locate the newly grown branches to stimulate more lateral buds to germinate. At the same time, the roots should be pruned regularly to stimulate more fine roots to germinate. After pruning again, more lateral buds will germinate. At this time, it is necessary to fix the branches and erase unnecessary bud positions.

4. After the branch is fixed, let it grow, which can not only increase the thickness of the lateral branches, but also thicken the trunk. It should be noted that it is best to coil the first branch before it is completely lignified. It will be more difficult to coil after lignification, and there will be the risk of broken branches.

5. The basic framework of bonsai is formed after the trunk is tied with the first branch. At this time, it entered the stage of artistic creation. You can give full play to your creativity and integrate your ideas into the design of bonsai. Attention should be paid to the triangle principle and center of gravity principle in bonsai art when designing. After winding, the branches should be headed to promote lateral bud germination.

6. After the second branch begins to sprout, the first branch will thicken faster. Then repeat the previous steps, fix the branches, cut the secondary branches short, promote the germination of the tertiary branches, and gradually make the branches denser and the crown fuller.

7. When the branches at all levels are mature, remove the metal wires and match them with suitable ornamental pots, thus a finished bonsai is born. Be careful not to be too eager to expose the root disk, and you can raise the root year by year according to the situation. The most perfect moment of this work is when the root board with strong grip is completely exposed.
