Zhou Pu Hospital is a secondary general hospital with a history of nearly 80 years. Its predecessor was Fushan Hospital, which was founded in 1930. After decades of construction and development, the level of medical technology and hospital management has improved significantly. In August 2006, Shanghai Institute of Gynecology affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine signed an agreement with the former Nanhui District Health Bureau to jointly build Zhou Pu Hospital, which further improved the medical quality, technical level, discipline construction, personnel training and spiritual civilization construction. Zhou Pu Hospital is located in the west of Nanhui District. Long-term commitment to the original Nanhui District, Zhou Pu, Kangqiao, Hangtou, Liuzao and other areas and some nearby towns and villages in Minhang District, about 500,000 people's medical and health services. It is the teaching base of the Ninth Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University and Nanhui Branch of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, and the medical, teaching and scientific research center in the western part of Nanhui District.
