How to process plexiglass
Question 1: How to process plexiglass? The table has a 90-degree angle, plexiglass and sharp corners, which is easy to hurt people.

Rough grinding, chamfering or rounding with a file or emery cloth, then polishing with fine gauze, and finally polishing with ordinary toothpaste and soft cloth. Pay attention to protect the front when polishing.

Question 2: What are the processing methods of plexiglass 1? Hot bending processing method: plexiglass is formed at high temperature.

(1) hot bending mode:

Clamp the heater with a flat clamp.

Hot air gun: uneven heating, uneven cooling, easy to remain thermal stress, easy to deform in the future.

Constant temperature furnace: the temperature is relatively uniform, and the temperature is relatively uniform when cooling.

(2) Temperature and time of curing and tempering of plexiglass after heating:

Generally use PMMA, 65-70 degrees, 3-5 hours (hot air heating mode).

Heat-resistant PMMA, 75-80 degrees, 3-5 hours (hot air heating mode)

Note: this treatment is to eliminate the residual molding stress of molded products and improve the dimensional stability in the future; Change the mechanical properties; Improve dimensional accuracy or reduce deformation.

(3) Key points of plexiglass hot bending:

A. If you want to use water for heating, do not use "direct" water for heating, but use indirect heating to avoid changing the size after "moisture absorption".

B. Fixtures should be "smooth, flat and clean" to avoid residual lines after plastic surgery and affect transparency.

C. The heating rate should not be too fast and exceed the thermal deformation temperature.

D when cooling, the temperature of each part of the workpiece should be consistent. Therefore, the cooling speed should not be too fast, otherwise the temperature difference between the heart and the skin will cause thermal stress, and the deformation will recover after loosening the fixture. So the cooling speed should not be too fast, and the furnace cooling will be better.

E the dimension after heat treatment will change slightly due to secondary shrinkage, and the temperature should not be too high to reduce the shrinkage dimension change.

F. don't burn it, it will deform more!

G. For specific heating time and temperature, it takes many experiments to master the best temperature time.

2. Adhesion method: chloroform, commonly known as chloroform. Belongs to chemical products, colorless and transparent liquid. This product is volatile, so it should be infiltrated and bonded with a glass (certain) syringe and needle, because this product dissolves plexiglass through corrosion and makes it bond by itself. Do not touch the place where the product does not need to be bonded. After gluing, it is fixed according to the shape of the work, and it is completely cured in 12 hours. Note: chloroform is harmless to human hands, but it is toxic. It can't touch eyes, and it can't be eaten. Ventilation is needed when working. It is said that this product will be addictive if taken for a long time, and it will be unconscious if inhaled in large quantities.

3. Screen printing method: adopting the most advanced screen printing, four-color dot printing and other technologies.

4. Assembly method: Assemble a plurality of components of plexiglass products by gluing.

5. Packaging method: the product quality is finally tested, and the product is packaged before leaving the factory.

6. Mechanical methods: laser cutting, numerical control engraving, cutting, cutting, mold opening and polishing.

7. Engraving method: Advanced stereo engraving machine, laser engraving machine, fine engraving machine and other high-tech technologies are adopted.

Question 3: How to process plexiglass, do you need professional tools? What about the acrylic board? It also depends on what products you process!

If it is a square or simple flat product, then ordinary tools will do!

Question 4: What is plexiglass made of? Plexiglass is a popular name, also known as gelatin glass, acrylic and so on. It is a polymer compound polymerized from methyl methacrylate. It is an important thermoplastic developed earlier.

Plexiglass can be divided into colorless transparent, colored transparent, pearlescent and embossed plexiglass.

It has good transparency, chemical stability, mechanical properties and weather resistance, easy dyeing, easy processing and beautiful appearance.

Question 5: How does plexiglass process threaded holes? Thank God for your help, buy imported plexiglass, feed it at a slower speed, 0.5- 1.0mm at a time, and finally feed it at a slower speed, or ask a laser machine to trim edges and round holes. Then tap the teeth with straight grooved wire and some tapping oil, which is very good. I often check the original posts >>

Question 6: how to bend plexiglass generally adopts heating method, and manual processing can use hair dryer. Heat the plexiglass slowly and evenly with a hair dryer, so that the plexiglass can be softened and bent into the shape you want, and keep it for a certain period of time, and then it is formed after cooling (it can be wiped with a wet cloth to accelerate the cooling).

If the size requirements are high, you can first make a mold out of wood, which is more reliable when bending and has a better shape and size.

Question 7: How to polish the plexiglass car carefully?
