Remember the "3 elements" to encourage flowering
1. Light
If jasmine wants to bloom, the first condition it must have is light. The so-called light is It requires a full-sun environment. If the illumination time of jasmine is less than six hours, then it will not grow buds. Only if the illumination time exceeds six hours can the normal differentiation of its flower buds be ensured. If the illumination time is more than eight hours, then it will not grow buds. The flowers will keep blooming. So if the ambient light time is short, then don't raise it, as it will not bloom here.
2. Fertilizer
If you want to grow jasmine, you must add fertilizer, because it consumes a lot of nutrients to bloom, but some flower lovers use fertilizers during maintenance. Improper planting will also cause it to not bloom. For example, if you use some nitrogen-containing fertilizers, common nitrogen fertilizers, etc., the use of these fertilizers will cause it to only grow branches but not bloom, because any plant cannot bloom without phosphorus. Of course, if you use potassium dihydrogen phosphate, it will not bloom in the early stage. If it blooms better, the whole plant will not grow long later, and there will be no flower buds.
Its flowering performance is to keep blooming while the branches are long, so it is necessary to ensure the normal growth of its branches. The fertilizer should be selected with high phosphorus content and no shortage of other elements. Use it two to three times a month. This continuous supply can ensure that the flowers bloom continuously, the branches grow normally, and new branches grow and bloom.
3. Pruning
Jasmine blooms from the top of new branches. If jasmine branches grow new buds, buds will inevitably grow when the new buds grow to five to ten centimeters. Therefore, regular pruning is required during the entire maintenance process. If not pruned, its branches will grow very long, and the top will grow very slowly, because the distance for nutrient transmission increases as the branches grow, the flower pots are smaller, and the soil is smaller. If it is too little, the lack of nutrients will cause its flowering performance to weaken, so prune it in time after flowering.
After each flower blooms, cut off the thin and weak branches, and then cut off the thick branches, leaving two to four leaves from the last pruning position. After pruning is completed, two to four buds will grow on each thick branch. When these buds grow taller, they will bloom, and the blooms will double. Don't be lazy and not prune, otherwise it will gradually stop blooming and the whole plant will become very ugly.
This is the secret of jasmine flowers. But if you want to keep blooming, what should you do? That is, cut off a single branch in time after it blooms. After pruning, this branch will quickly grow new branches. Other branches must be pruned gradually after they bloom. In this way, the pruning cycle will continue, and this branch will bloom. After the other branch is finished blooming, it will be pruned again. The other branches will be able to bloom again, and the cycle can continue, and you can smell the fragrance of flowers every day.
