Normally, you should have a quiet and comfortable environment to rest in after double eyelid plastic surgery. It is best to lie in a semi-recumbent position (with pillows raised) when resting in bed to avoid excessive eye fatigue or excessive head position, which may aggravate wound swelling. There will be some pain on the wound on the day of surgery, but it will gradually lessen over time. Patients should not rush to take painkillers, as aspirin drugs can aggravate wound bleeding. For patients who have undergone blepharoplasty, the sutures will be removed 5 to 7 days after surgery. Sometimes there will be very small threads left in the wound after the sutures are removed. As time goes by, the threads will slowly push out or be absorbed by themselves.
