1. Treatment of pain: Pain usually occurs within 24 hours after rhinoplasty. When the pain is unbearable, you can take some painkillers.
2. Take out stitches: take out stitches 5-7 days after operation. For those who use autogenous bone or cartilage as a rhinoplasty scaffold, the suture of the material should be removed about 10 days after operation.
3, dressing: silicone and other prosthetic rhinoplasty generally do not need to be fixed, the doctor may only need to put a sterile cotton ball in the nostril on one side of the surgical incision. People who use autogenous bone or cartilage as scaffold should be fixed with adhesive tape or dental impression glue besides inserting iodoform gauze into nostril after operation. After removing the bandage, the patient can wash his face and hair. Previously, patients could gently wipe the uncovered area of the face with a wet soft towel. In the next 6 weeks, be careful and gentle when cleaning your face, and avoid severe friction. When washing your hair, you should have the help of others. Take a posture of leaning your head back and don't bow your head.
4. Incision nursing: timely dressing change, not blowing nose and removing nasal scab are the keys to postoperative incision nursing. After silicone augmentation rhinoplasty, the incision is generally not covered with dressing. The doctor only puts a sterile cotton ball on the nostril of the operation side or applies some antibiotic ointment on the incision. The second day after operation, the incision was disinfected again and the cotton ball in the nostril was taken out. Blowing nose is easy to cause bleeding and subcutaneous emphysema, and it can also cause prosthesis displacement, which should be avoided as much as possible within 2-4 weeks after operation. The accumulation of nasal scabs in nostrils is not only easy to cause infection, but also aggravate ventilation obstruction. You can soften it with a wet cotton swab and take it out carefully.
5. Understanding of the healing process: In the healing process, we need to pay attention to the following three situations. One is dyspnea caused by postoperative nasal swelling and nasal congestion, the other is local cyanosis, and the third is local swelling. Severe nasal congestion requires oral breathing. Cyanosis is caused by local congestion and usually subsides within 2 weeks. The swelling can last for 2-6 weeks, during which the nasal dorsum is higher than the final height.
