Nucleic acid detection has strong specificity and high sensitivity. A very small number of DNA fragments can be used as templates for amplification, and a large number of DNA amplification fragments can be obtained through amplification, thus judging the existence of the virus.
Antibody technology is mainly aimed at IgM antibody and IgG antibody specific to virus or bacteria to judge whether there is pathogen infection. The main application methods are enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and immunofluorescence to judge the infection of pathogens.
The specificity of these two detection techniques is relatively strong, and both results are relatively accurate, but they are slightly different in the application of different pathogens.
