H.265 is a new coding protocol and an upgraded version of H.264. The H.265 standard keeps some original technologies and improves some related technologies around the existing video coding standard H.264.. H.264 can realize standard-definition digital image transmission at a rate lower than 1Mbps; H.265 can realize the transmission of 720P ordinary high-definition audio and video with the transmission speed of 1~2Mbps. Under the same image quality, H.265 occupies 50% less storage space than H2.64, and under the same content quality, H.265 standard will significantly reduce bandwidth consumption.
