Now the battery packs of new energy vehicles will be protected by PUW explosion-proof valves to prevent safety accidents caused by pressure accumulation of battery packs. Aiming at the installation of PUW explosion-proof valve in the battery box of new energy vehicles, a perfect airtight detection scheme is designed. The detection instruments, fixtures and methods are as follows.

Air tightness detection method of battery pack:

1. Turn on the power switch of the air tightness detector, set the required parameters such as inflation time and pressure holding time, and turn on the compressed air.

2. Insert the claw of the airtight fixture into the groove between the explosion-proof valve body of PBALM20* 1.5 and the battery box;

3. Rotate the locking shaft clockwise to press the upper cover of the explosion-proof valve (see the figure below);

4, quick connector inserted into the trachea

6 intake pipe, open the airtight instrument and start the test.

5. After the test is completed, loosen the rotating shaft counterclockwise and remove the fixture.
