The Biological Science Teaching Experimental Center is the experimental teaching demonstration center in Guangdong Province, in which the Microbial Genetic Engineering Laboratory is the key laboratory in Shenzhen, with public technology platforms such as protein omics, genomics, structural biology and molecular cell biology, and a biochemical engineering technology research center for pilot production research. The college encourages students to innovate in science and technology, and the experimental results of undergraduates are innovative. It has published many papers in public, and won the first prize of the National Challenge Cup for College Students, the first prize and the second prize of the Guangdong University Students' Extracurricular Academic Research Works Competition. At present, there are nearly 1 1,000 full-time undergraduates and master students.

The college has a strong faculty, with 46 faculty members and 43 full-time teachers, including 7 professors, 3 doctoral supervisors, 25 associate professors and 0 lecturers of China Academy of Sciences. Among the full-time teachers, 30 have obtained doctoral degrees, and 4 are studying for doctoral degrees on the job.
