Tokyo has a subtropical monsoon climate, with an annual average temperature of 15.6℃ in the central part. Four distinct seasons and abundant precipitation. Affected by the southeast monsoon, there is more precipitation in summer. In winter, there is less snowfall.

Tokyo belongs to a corner of Kanto, located at the southern end of Kanto Plain, facing Tokyo Bay, and roughly located in the center of the Japanese archipelago. Its east is connected with Chiba Prefecture through Edogawa, and its west is connected with Yamanashi Prefecture through mountains.
